The most famous square in the city of Trieste is undoubtedly Piazza Unità d'Italia. Its buildings with an unmistakable Habsburg flavor.
Currently, I believe, it is the largest European square overlooking the sea!

Unità d’Italia square (during the Austrian period it was called Piazza Grande and later it was also known as Piazza Francesco Giuseppe) is the main square of Trieste. It is located at the foot of the San Giusto hill, between Borgo Teresiano and Borgo Giuseppino.
