Pumpkin buds: a nice macro before they bloom.
A few days ago I focused on the pumpkin plant and took several photos.
This one, for example, is of some pumpkin buds (actually there is only one in the image) photographed in close-up.
And, looking even more carefully at the image, I think that they are not even buds anymore as it seems to me that the fruit is already in the embryonic stage.
I like this plant and above all I like the hair along the stem.

The term pumpkin refers to the fruits of various cultivars belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family, in particular some species of the Cucurbita genus (Cucurbita maxima, Cucurbita pepo and Cucurbita moschata) but also species belonging to other genera such as Lagenaria vulgaris or ornamental pumpkin, or Sicyos edulis.
