Inizia la stagione di questo frutto magico ed anche in Vietnam lo si trova in grande abbondanza.
Amo molto questo frutto e non credevo (per mia ignoranza) di trovarlo anche in Vietnam. A dire il vero le ho viste solo in questa regione dell’estremo Nord, sicuramente non è una pianta da clima tropicale.
Come da noi poi vengono arrostite e vendute al chilo ancora calde.
Non ho potuto resistere… ed erano molto pastose e dolci.

Non si conoscono le esatte origini del castagno. Ritrovamenti di reperti fossili attestano che l’albero dovrebbe derivare da un ceppo originatosi nel Terziario, circa 10 milioni di anni fa e che in periodo a clima caldo si era diffuso in Asia, in Europa e nelle Americhe.
