A lotus flower photographed in Vietnam

Fiore di loto in Vietnam

A lotus flower photographed in Vietnam.
One of nature's most mythical flowers with its lilac color and because it is always present in places of worship.
It is very often found in pagoda ponds because it is a sacred flower for Buddhists.
I photographed this flower in particular in a pagoda along the Mekong River Delta.

The Ancient Gates of the Imperial City of Hue in Vietnam

Portali della citta Imperiale di Hue

The ancient gates of the Imperial city of Hue in Vietnam.
One of the classic images of this place is this: a series of consecutive gates.
There are so many buildings and walls that you can often fit them all into a single shot.
Obviously, as you can well understand and see, I accentuated the colors a little (but only a little) through HDR because one of the most impressive things about this place are the colors (mostly red).
Truly a magnificent place to explore!

Dry stone walls in Liguria

Muretti a secco in Liguria

Dry stone walls in Liguria.
I would almost say a tradition in Liguria, are these types of walls made dry with only stones.
I took this photo along the path that goes from Camogli to San Rocco along the route that can then also reach San Fruttuoso and Portofino.
In addition to delimiting properties, this type of wall was often used to contain the soil to build the famous terraces for cultivation.
They were made dry to allow rainwater to flow away without causing landslides.
Now they exist and you see fewer and fewer of them, unfortunately, and even in this photo the walls are not exactly the real ones I am talking about.

The amphitheater in the Parco dei Castelli in Sestri Levante

Amphitheater in the Parco dei Castelli.
One of the most fascinating places in Sestri Levante, which was exceptionally opened to the public.
Beautiful excursion in the garden of the Sestri Levante Peninsula up to the Marconi Tower.
All thanks to the Nassa Association (here are their pages FB and IG) in the stage IT.A.CÀ in Sestri Levante.

A Parma Ham and Burrata Pizza in Vietnam

Pizza crudo di Parma e Burrata

An excellent Parma ham and Burrata pizza tasted in Vietnam.
I didn't eat this beautiful and tasty pizza in Naples or in Italy but in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
I have to say that I don't know if it was because I hadn't eaten one for almost a month or because it was really well made but I gobbled it up in 10 minutes.
The two main ingredients were then of real quality: the raw ham was a DOP and the burrata seemed fresh.

Parma ham is a typical cured meat from the province of Parma; more precisely, the production area is located 5 km south of the Via Emilia, up to an altitude of no more than 900 m, bordered to the east by the Enza torrent and to the west by the Stirone torrent.
