Sull’isola di Granada, uno dei prodotti piu’ tipici, e’ la noce moscata. Ovunque la vendono.
Ovviamente, anche se il consumo casalingo e’ veramente minimo, ne ho coprato un paio anche io.

Myristica fragrans è un albero originario delle isole Molucche (Indonesia) ed oggi coltivato nelle zone intertropicali. Parti del suo frutto vengono commercializzate come spezie: il seme decorticato è la noce moscata, mentre la parte esterna che lo ricopre fornisce il macis.
