A wooden jetty at Brownie Beach in Barbados

A wooden pier at Brownie Beach in Barbados.
One of the iconic photos of this Caribbean island and the splendid Brownes Beach in Carlisle Bay.
The water and sand on this beach, as I told you in another post, are truly incredible.
Right in the center of the bay there is this wooden pier, used to let tourists get on one of the many boats that take them to see the turtles.
The ritual photos are a must!

The name of this Antillean state was coined in 1536 by the Portuguese explorer Pedro A. The name that the Arawak natives attributed to the island was Ichirouganaim.
