The beautiful Romanesque church that dominates the village of Portofino and from whose churchyard, splendidly decorated with black and white pebbles, you can photograph the very famous little square.

According to a plaque inside the church, the building was erected in Romanesque style in 1154 although further excavations have allowed the discovery of an ancient square-plan chapel dating back perhaps to the time of the Lombards in Liguria when the monks of San Colombano operated there.
