La bella chiesetta romanica che domina il borgo di Portofino e dal cui sagrato, splendidamente decorato con i ciottoli bianchi e neri, si può fotografare la famosissima piazzetta.

According to a plaque inside the church, the building was erected in Romanesque style in 1154 although further excavations have allowed the discovery of an ancient square-plan chapel dating back perhaps to the time of the Lombards in Liguria when the monks of San Colombano operated there.
