The skyscraper symbol of Ho Chi Minh.
The Bitexco Financial Tower, one of the symbols of the Vietnamese city with its panoramic terrace.
It is no longer the tallest building in the city but it is still one of its symbols with that prominent terrace almost at the top.
In the evening I also went for a drink in the bar on the top floor but I was unable to take any decent photos.

Questo piattino, se non ricordo male, lo ho fotografato a bordo l’anno scorso quando, una volta a settimana eravamo a Barcellona.
Ogni settimana qualcuno faceva la spesa e poi… si divideva!

Il Jamón ibérico (prosciutto iberico), o pata negra, o carna negra, è un tipo di prosciutto proveniente da maiale di razza iberica, molto apprezzato nella cucina spagnola e nella cucina portoghese, dove è considerato un prodotto di alta cucina. Per la sua produzione, e potersi fregiare di questo nome, le carni devono provenire da esemplari derivanti da un incrocio in cui partecipi, dal punto di vista genetico, almeno per il 50% la razza iberica.

The square of the Abbey of Santo Stefano in Genoa.
This church is in the heart of industrious Genoa; right in the center above via XX Settembre.
I'm copying and pasting a post from a few months ago because the photo was taken in mid-November.
It is enough, at the height of the Ponte Monumentale, to climb a few steps and you arrive on this terrace with the splendid church on one side and the beautiful noble buildings of via Venti on the other.

The church of Santo Stefano (or abbey of Santo Stefano) is one of the most famous Christian places of worship in Genoa, and its parish community is part of the Vicariate of Carignano – Foce of the archdiocese of Genoa. Situated on a hill overlooking the central Via XX Settembre, it was one of the most significant examples of Romanesque architecture in the Ligurian capital. Christopher Columbus was baptized in this church and it is believed that the young Balilla was also baptized.

Camogli il 17 settembre 2019.
Una delle vedute più tipiche della cittadina del Levante ligure, della sua spiaggia e della sua Basilica.
E’ uno degli scatti classici che tutti i turisti portano a casa e mettono sui social.
E io ovviamente non sono da meno certamente.
Unica pecca del mio pubblicare è la tempistica: spesso scatto decine di foto contemporaneamente e poi le pubblico diluite nel tempo; succede quindi, come in questo caso, che la foto scattata in estate venga pubblicata a febbraio… Aumenta solo la nostalgia delle belle giornate, vero?

Basilica Minore di Santa Maria Assunta in the capital. Overlooking the small port below, the parish church of the village stands on what was the ancient settlement of the Island, appearing almost decentralized with respect to the nucleus of tall polychrome buildings.

Mausoleo di Ho Chi Min ad Hanoi

Mausoleo di Ho Chi Min ad Hanoi.
Uno dei monumenti simbolo della capitale vietnamita ma dell’intero Vietnam: la tomba del grande condottiero.
E’ situato in un parco immenso proprio all’interno della città ed è protetto a vista da guardie armate.
Di fronte il palazzo del governo e poco vicino, ma sempre nel complesso, il museo dedicato al leggendario (per i vietnamiti) leader.

Il mausoleo di Ho Chi Minh è un monumento funebre dedicato al leader vietnamita Ho Chi Minh situato nella città di Hanoi. Si trova al centro della piazza Ba Ðình, lo stesso luogo in cui Ho lesse la dichiarazione di indipendenza che diede inizio alla Repubblica Democratica del Vietnam il 2 settembre 1945.

Fiori rossi del banano.
Nell’albergo di Sa Pa, all’uscita, c’era questo splendido fiore che poi ho scoperto essere del banano.
Sono fiori molto belli anche se il frutto è molto più importante e credo sia per questo motivo che non si usano molto come decorazione.

L’infiorescenza contiene molte brattee (a volte chiamate scorrettamente petali) tra le proprie file di fiori. I fiori femminili (che possono svilupparsi in frutti) appaiono in file più in alto sul fusto, rispetto a dove spunteranno i fiori maschili. L’ovario è infero, significa quindi che i piccoli petali e le altre parti del fiore sono situate in cima all’ovario.

Beer is an alcoholic beverage obtained from the fermentation of malted barley wort, flavored and bittered with hops. Beer is one of the most widespread and oldest alcoholic beverages in the world. It is produced through the alcoholic fermentation with strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae or Saccharomyces carlsbergensis of sugars derived from starchy sources, the most used of which is barley malt, or germinated and dried barley, often simply called malt. Wheat, corn, rice are also used - the latter two especially as additions in industrially produced beers - and, to a lesser extent, oats, spelt, rye. Other less used plants are cassava root, millet and sorghum in Africa, potatoes in Brazil and agave in Mexico.

Dolce ad Ibiza.
A pranzo in un resort di Ibiza, appena fuori dal centro, si termina con un ottimo dessert semifreddo.
A dire la verità è passato moltissimo tempo da quando ho fotografato e mangiato questo dessert… tanto che non mi ricordo più nemmeno che cos’era… che figura! Ma la foto era molto bella ed il piatto ricordo era anche molto buono.

Barchetta nel mar Ligure.
Questa foto, scattata lo scorso settembre al largo del golfo Paradiso, dice tutto sul mare che abbiamo in Liguria.
La foto l’ho scattata lungo il sentiero che da Camogli va a San Fruttuoso passando dalle batterie.
E, se non ricordo male, la barca era proprio vicina allo scoglio di Punta Chiappa.
