The beautiful and elegant Villa Giorgi in Chiavari.
Some time ago I discovered the Chiavari Castle and, in the same area, this beautiful villa.
I had difficulty finding its name and I hope that Villa Giorgi is the correct one.
It is located exactly in Salita Sant’Antonio Maria Gianelli, a small street that leads from Piazza Verdi to Corso Lima (the ring road).

La villa è stata fatta costruire da mio bisnonno Virgilio Giorgi penso nei primi anni trenta, per ospitare il consolato generale di Panama e CostaRica, di cui mio bisnonno era console, in quanto fece fortuna in quei paesi. Sull’anno di costruzione devo chiedere a mio padre che ha 94 anni e conosce meglio la storia, ha anche delle foto della villa dell’epoca, le scannerizzerò e le posterò, abbiamo anche la dispensa del Re perché i consolati generali dovevano essere tutti a Roma ma mio bisnonno aveva avuto la dispensa per aprirlo a Chiavari, in quanto c’era stata una forte emigrazione verso quei paesi da parte dei Chiavaresi e paesi limitrofi.

He conocido esta historia por medio del nieto de Virgilio Giorgi padre de Giuseppina Giorgi, el arquitecto Alberto Galardi Giorgi. Es un mundo bello contado por este señor de 93 años. Chiavari, la primera ciudad de Italia por donde entró su riqueza a este país europeo.
