Le lanterne colorate di Hoi An in Vietnam.
Uno dei luoghi simbolo del Vietnam è la piccola cittadina di Hoi An le cui strade sono famose per le piccole casette affacciate sull’acqua e, soprattutto, alla tradizione delle lanterne.
Appena fa buio infatti si accendono migliaia di queste lanterne e le strade, sempre pienissime di turisti, si illuminano di mille colori.
Ovviamente si possono comprare come souvenir e anche se quelle tradizionali sono ricoperte di carta, alcune, sono realizzate in maniera pregevole tanto modo ai turisti di portarle a casa senza danneggiarle.

The former Champa port city, located on the Thu Bon estuary, was an important Vietnamese trading center during the 16th and 17th centuries, when Japanese and Chinese from various provinces, Dutch and Indians settled there. During this period of trade with China, the city was called Hai Pho (City on the Sea) in Vietnamese.
