La Cattedrale di Maria Santissima Achiropita.
Lo scorso anno sono stato a Rossano in Calabria e, forse, l’edificio più importante di questa cittadina è la sua Cattedrale.
All’interno la famosa immagine Achiropita della Madonna. Questa parola che deriva dal greco significa non disegnata da mano cioè creata da qualcosa o qualcuno non umano.

The history of Achiropita is linked to the legend of the hermit monk Efraim who in the year 570 AD in a field near a cave (San Nicola in Vallone area) found a miraculous image of the Virgin and from there the cult began.
