Rapallo si trova nella parte occidentale del golfo del Tigullio, incastonata nel golfo che prende il suo nome (denominato storicamente “Golfo del Grifo”), tra la piana dei due torrenti Boate – chiamato storicamente “Bogo” – e San Francesco, quest’ultimo sito nella parte orientale della città.
