Dal tempo del grande afflusso di ospiti stranieri – dapprima britannici e quindi tedeschi – nei primi anni del Novecento l’economia di Portofino è strettamente legata al turismo. First, put a nice pan on the stove and wait until the pan is very hot and then pour in all the rice to toast it (this trick will make the dish more fragrant and the rice grains will not be crushed); Mix well, until the rice becomes yellow. Put the freshly toasted rice in the rice cooker (if you do not have this "sacred" object for Asians, cook it in a pot) and cook it for about 30 minutes or until it is soft. Remember that for this preparation you will have to put more water than usual. While the rice is cooking, we continue by washing the onions and chopping them finely. Wash the shallots and cut them into small pieces. In the pan we used to toast the rice, add some olive oil and fry the purple onion, then add the clams and sauté evenly. When the clam meat is cooked, season with a tablespoon of fish sauce, two teaspoons of seasoning, a teaspoon of oyster sauce, a teaspoon of sugar, half a teaspoon of monosodium glutamate and a teaspoon of spicy satay; mix well to combine the spices with the clams. Now add the clams to the rice that is cooking and mix well; if you like the dish more soupy you can add more water Now season with more salt, balancing according to your family's tastes. When the rice is ready add the chopped shallots, mix well, put in a bowl and, finally, sprinkle a little more pepper powder. This is the result to taste:
Nguyên liệu 200gram thịt nghêu đông lạnh (hoặc 500 nghêu tươi) 50g gạo nhài và 20g gạo nếp Hành tím, hành lá. Gia vị: dầu ăn, nước mắm, hạt nêm, bột ngọt, dầu hào, muối, đường, tiêu, sa tế. Cách nấu cháo nghêu Hành tím rửa sạch rồi băm nhuyễn. Hành lá rửa sạch rồi thái nhỏ. Đặt chảo lên bếp và đợi đến khi chảo nóng rồi đổ hết gạo vào rang, khi nấu cháo sẽ thơm hơn và hạt gạo sẽ không bị nát. Đảo đều tay, đến khi gạo chuyển sang màu vàng là được. Cho gạo vừa rang vào nồi cơm điện (hoặc nấu bằng nồi thì nấu tầm 30phút cho cháo nhừ), nhớ nấu nhiều nước hơn nấu cơm thông thường. Tiếp tục, cho dầu ăn vào chảo và phi thơm hành tím, rồi cho nghêu vào xào đều tay. Khi thịt nghêu săn lại, nêm vào 1 muỗng canh nước mắm, 2 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, 1 muỗng cà phê dầu hào, 1 muỗng cà phê đường, ½ muỗng cà phê bột ngọt, 1 muỗng cà phê sa tế (không ăn cay không cho vào) rồi đảo đều cho các loại gia vị hòa quyện với nghêu. Sau đó bạn tắt bếp rồi cho nghêu vào nồi cháo đang nấu, khuấy đều, nếu muốn ăn nhiều nước có thể cho thêm, sau đó nêm nếm thêm muối, cân đối phù hợp theo khẩu vị gia đình bạn. Tắt bếp và cho hành lá vào, đảo đều, cho ra tô và rắc thêm tí tiêu bột là có thể thưởng thức.

La città di Lucca vista dal campanile del Duomo. Nella mia ultima visita nella splendida città toscana di Lucca, ormai diversi mesi fa, sono riuscito a salire fono in cima al campanile del Duomo ed a scattare diverse foto dei tetti e delle diverse famose torri della città. Si vede bene infatti la celebre Torre Guinigi con i famosi lecci secolari in cima.

L’antica cripta della antica chiesa di Santo Stefano a Genova. Lo scorso anno, proprio nel periodo natalizio, sono riuscito (quasi per caso) a sapere della possibilità di visitare alcune belle chiese di Genova con la stessa organizzazione dei Rolli Days. Una delle chiese che ho visto, e della cui cripta vi posto le due foto qui sotto, è la bella chiesa di Santo Stefano quella che domina via Venti Settembre appena vicino al Ponte Monumentale. Una delle più note della città dove si dice sia stato battezzato addirittura Cristoforo Colombo.

Gli affreschi sulla facciata di un palazzo a Chiavari. Passeggiando per il bel centro storico della città di Chiavari, quasi ogni volta, poso lo sguardo (e di conseguenza l’obiettivo della mia macchinina fotografica) su qualche punto che non avevo mai visto prima. Come questi bei affreschi sulla facciata di un palazzo (se non ricordo male in via Giuseppe Raggio) all’altezza del sagrato della Chiesa di San Giovanni.

The remains of the Capitoline temple in Brescia. A few months ago I was, for the second time in my life, in the beautiful city of Brescia and for the second time I went to visit the small park with the Roman remains right in the center. Unlike last time, the park was open and so I was able to enter, for free, and walk among the remains. Very fascinating!

Uno scorcio di Camogli, il bel borgo marinaro in Liguria. Appena dietro la basilica di Santa Maria Assunta e al castello della Dragonara c’e’ un piccolo agglomerato di casette con qualche vicoletto quasi segreto. Questo e’ quello che vi troverete di fronte passeggiandovi con l’immancabile filo per stendere i panni, posto tra una casa e quella di fronte, tanto comune nei borghi di mare.

The most significant architectural aspect of the town is the presence of colored buildings overlooking the beach.
