The altarpiece, dating back to the artist’s youthful period in Botticelli’s workshop, shows four saints standing in a line against the backdrop of a grove whose foliage can be glimpsed beyond a blue sky. From the left, they meet Saint Roch, Saint Sebastian, Saint Jerome and Saint Helen the Empress.
