The Post Office building in La Spezia.
In Piazza Verdi, in the centre of La Spezia, stands this large building of clear neoclassical/fascist inspiration designed by Angiolo Mazzoni and inaugurated in November 1933.

The building, set back from the perspective line of the other buildings along the side of the square, is raised above street level by a large staircase. With a U-shaped plan and four floors, the building is defined by square volumes, lightened by a series of nine niches on the façade that house as many high arched openings surmounted by windows
