L’archivolto di Palazzo Torriglia che apre via Remolari a Chiavari.
Su piazza Mazzini, a Chiavari, si affacciano molti bei palazzi. Uno di questi è lo storico Palazzo Torriglia i cui archi (o forse sarebbe meglio dire gli archi che sostengono il grande terrazzo) creano un archivolto che è l’inizio della bella via Remolari.

Al piano terra c’era l’albergo della posta dove hanno dormito anche Garibaldi e Manzoni. In questo palazzo c’erano opere d’arte di Genova, di Napoli e Venezia.

I took this photo some time ago but I can only publish it now.
It is the view of the splendid Tuscan city taken from the tower of the city's cathedral.
You can see the various towers that dominate the historic center very well.

Famous for its historical monuments, it is one of the few provincial capitals to preserve the historic center, rich in ancient structures from various eras, completely surrounded by a sixteenth-century wall that is intact and almost unchanged over the centuries. It is a notable city of art in Italy.

Some time ago, now, I took this photo while I was doing some tests with my drone.
This is a very unusual view for me of my Sestri Levante: the roofs (and terraces) of the historic center of my town.

L’interno della splendida Cappella degli Scrovegni a Padova.
Uno dei luoghi che ho visitato che mi ha piu’ meravigliato e impressionato. Per la mia esperienza se la gioca con la Cappella Sistina di Roma.
Qui Giotto ha realizzato uno dei capolavori dell’arte di tutti i tempi.
Non voglio scrivere molto di piu’ perche’ le descrizioni degli affreschi e la storia del luogo la potete facilmente leggere online (e come sempre non mi piace scopiazzare).

The Scrovegni Chapel is a church in Padua, formerly a private chapel, which became part of the Civic Museums of Padua. It houses a famous cycle of frescoes by Giotto from the early 14th century, considered one of the masterpieces of Western art. The paintings inside the Scrovegni Chapel started a pictorial revolution that developed throughout the 14th century and influenced the history of painting.

Dream beaches: the beautiful Store Bay in Tobago.
Last winter I was on the ship in the Caribbean and I was lucky enough to visit this beautiful beach on the island of Tobago.
To tell the truth we were on the little beach next door (Coconut Bay) because the sea was a little rough and Store beach had very little space to leave towels.
But the sand was still golden and the water really turquoise!

La celebre piazza centrale di Milano ripresa dal tetto della Cattedrale meneghina.
Uno dei must quando si e’ in visita alla citta’ e’ salire sulla cima della grande chiesa e da li’ si puo’ godere di uno spettacolo unico.

Conosci la famosa piazzetta di Portofino? Il celebre borgo ha questa serie di edifici che seguono la curvatura della colline che ospitano l’insenatura nella quale si è costruito il paese, il suo porticciolo, ed appunto la piazzetta.

Dal tempo del grande afflusso di ospiti stranieri – dapprima britannici e quindi tedeschi – nei primi anni del Novecento l’economia di Portofino è strettamente legata al turismo. La locale “Piazzetta” sulla quale si affacciano i locali pubblici di ristoro, negozi, boutique e altre attività commerciali è stata nel luglio del 2012 riconosciuta come Locale storico d’Italia, primo e unico attestato rilasciato dall’omonima associazione, per il suo valore storico e culturale.

La statua di donna dello scultore Lustig che era a Sestri Levante.
Lo scultores ligure Leonardo Lustig ci lascia spesso delle opere d’arte che ben si intonano con la nostra splendida cittadina Sestri Levante.
Questa statua, che per qualche mese e’ stata sulla terrazza dell’Ex Convento dell’Annunziata raffigurava una donna, Eliska, propensa verso il mare.
