A calle, the characteristic alley of the city of Venice.
Strolling, a few months ago, through the historic center of the Serenissima (this is the nickname of the Venetian lagoon city).
Every corner is a spectacular setting for street photos.

Vietnamese cuisine: Bún mắm nêm, vermicelli seasoned with fermented fish sauce.
A few days ago, I decided to prepare a typical dish from Central Vietnam.
Even though the vermicelli is not exactly like the ones from Da Nang, my hometown, the result was satisfying and helped me soothe my nostalgia for the dishes of my home country.

* Pineapple: 1 piece (about 1 tablespoon when chopped);
* Fermented fish sauce: (I bought it in an Asian food shop in Chiavari);
* Garlic, onion and shallot;
* Fresh and powdered chili pepper;
* Lean pork shoulder: 300 gr;
* Rice vermicelli: 80 gr for 1 person;
* Roasted peanuts;
* Raw vegetables: lettuce, cucumber, spinach (but you can use any vegetable you prefer);
* Spices: seed oil, colored cashews, sugar, monosodium glutamate, paprika;
For the seasoning, put in a bowl: the fish sauce (3 tablespoons), the chopped pineapple (1 tablespoon), 1/2 tablespoon of chopped garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of chopped shallot, 1/2 tablespoon of chopped fresh chili pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 tablespoon of boiling water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate, then mix until the ingredients are evenly mixed and season with salt to taste (depending on the saltiness of the seasoning, you need to taste it).
After buying the pork, wash it with salted water to eliminate the bad smell, then rinse it with clean water, drain it in a bowl and marinate with a little fish sauce to fry it (with a sauté with a little seed oil and the onions and garlic) or, if you prefer, you can boil it.
Once cooked, slice it into thin slices.
Clean the raw vegetables, dry it and cut it into pieces.
The vermicelli you buy at the Asian supermarket are dried, soak them for about 20 minutes until the vermicelli become soft, then boil them slightly then drain them and keep them dry.
After preparing all the ingredients, in a nice bowl put the vegetables, the meat, the vermicelli and then sprinkle with some roasted peanuts, fried onions and garlic; color with red cashew oil and finally season with the sauce we prepared at the beginning.
The dish is finished and ready to be enjoyed!
Bún mắm nêm
Nguyên liệu
* Thơm (dứa): cắt 1 miếng nhỏ (tầm 1 muỗng canh khi băm)
* Mắm nêm: (mua tại tiệm người Á ở Chiavari)
* Tỏi, hành tím, Ớt trái
* Thịt nạc vai: 300 gr
* Bún sợi nhỏ: 80 gr cho phần 1 người ăn
* Đậu phộng rang
* Rau sống ăn kèm: xà lách, diếp cá, dưa leo, rau muống bào (bạn mua được rau gì thì bạn dùng rau đấy)
* Gia vị: dầu ăn, hạt điều màu, đường, bột ngọt, ớt bột
The tower of Fascie-Rossi palace from via Maria Teresa in Sestri Levante.
Walking along this pedestrian street, which leads from the center to the promenade and the sea, I noticed the beautiful red tower of Palazzo Fascie emerging from among the buildings.
To tell the truth, I haven't found much online about the history of this building.
Do you know or can you tell me any historical information about the building?

Mount Caucasus and the splendid view of Eastern Liguria.
Some time ago I walked the path that from Barbagelata reaches the top of Mount Caucasus.
On the top there is a beautiful refuge and a chapel and the view extends over almost the entire Eastern Ligurian Riviera.

And these are three nice videos I made that day, ascent, arrival and view:
Videos recorded with Gopro Hero 10 Black.
There are several paths that lead to the summit: among these, the path that starts from Scoglina and the steep path that goes up from Neirone. Another path starts from the village of Barbagelata, from where on New Year's Eve a torchlight procession is led on foot to the chapel dedicated to the Madonna located on the summit of the mountain.

Via Dante Alighieri in Lavagna seen from the roof of the Porticato Brignardello.
I really like taking photos in the area of the Basilica of Santo Stefano in Lavagna. In addition to the splendid churchyard (which I have photographed many times) and the beautiful Brignardello portico, in this shot I photographed the street that passes through the square, via Dante Alighieri, from the terrace that is built above the portico itself.
A new point of view!
