L’archivolto del ponte Grecino a Varese Ligure.
Il ponte Grecino, sopra il torrente Crovara, era uno dei punti per entrare nel borgo al tempo del Medioevo.
Per questo immagino ci fosse questo archivolto, magari con un portone, per gestire l’ingresso alla cittadina.

Borgo Rotondo in the historic center of Varese. Commissioned by the Fieschi family for the control and defense of the Varese territory, it is made up of identical stone houses arranged along the perimeter which, with an elliptical shape, enclose the two main squares (Piazza Fieschi and Piazza Castello), where the commercial activities, warehouses and laboratories were located in the underlying porticoes.
