A few months ago, a great friend of mine (Giovanni), made me taste a delicious plate of fregola with seafood.
Fregola with seafood is a traditional Sardinian dish, much appreciated for its rich flavor and simplicity. Here is some interesting information about this dish:
Fregola, or fregula, is a typical Sardinian semolina pasta, similar to couscous, but with larger and more irregular grains.
Fregola is usually prepared with a variety of seafood such as mussels, clams, shrimp and squid.
Fregola is toasted in a pan and then cooked in a fish broth or salted water. Seafood is added during cooking to add flavor to the dish.
The dish is often garnished with chopped fresh parsley and served hot.
In this article I am talking about you can see a dish of fregola with seafood, with mussels and shrimp clearly visible. The fregola appears well toasted and seasoned with a rich sauce, probably tomato-based, which evenly envelops the pasta. In this uphill street there are many shops of famous brands but also these two very modern but also very colorful buildings.

Until a few months ago I was on board the Costa Diadema (of Costa Crociere) doing fjord cruises.
After many years I went out for a walk in the colorful neighborhood of Fargegaten (which I absolutely didn't remember) and from there the yellow chimney of the ship was sticking out.

Costa Diadema is a cruise ship of the Genoese company Costa Crociere. Upon completion, it was the largest ship ever built under the Italian flag. On 30 October 2014, the public launch took place in the same shipyard, giving way to the inaugural events, while on 1 November it set sail for the vernissage cruise departing from Trieste. On 7 November, the ship was christened in the port of Genoa.

When I was in Vietnam last year with my wife we went to the Qui Nhon region and, on an excursion, we visited the Ngoc Hoa monastery.
In this small spiritual center dominated this enormous statue of a golden Buddha.

The hidden Vico Macelli in the center of Sestri Levante.
In the heart of the historic center of Sestri Levante, between the narrow streets and the ancient walls, lies the charming Vico Macelli. This small alley, often overlooked by tourists, hides a rich history and a unique charm that deserves to be discovered.
Vico Macelli takes its name from the old slaughterhouses that once stood in this area. A glimpse into an alley in the village of Assisi in Umbria.
Assisi, located in Umbria, is famous for its charming alleys that offer picturesque and suggestive views. Walking through the village, you can admire the stone houses, the flowered balconies and the cobbled streets that seem to transport you back in time.

One of the most fascinating alleys is the one that leads to the Basilica of San Francesco, where every corner tells a story and every glimpse offers a breathtaking view of the Umbrian countryside. The figurehead of the galleon in the Porto Antico area of Genoa.
The Neptune Galleon, located in the Porto Antico of Genoa, is a replica of a Spanish galleon built in 1986 for the film “Pirates” by Roman Polański. The ship is famous for its figurehead, which represents the god of the seas Neptune². This imposing bow figure adds a touch of authenticity and historical charm to the ship.

The Neptune is one of the main attractions of the Porto Antico and offers visitors a unique experience, allowing them to explore a privateer ship and imagine the life of pirates during the golden age of piracy. If you are in Genoa, it is definitely worth a visit!

A figurehead is a wooden decoration, often depicting a female, animal or mythological figure, that was found on the bow of ships from the 16th to the 19th century. Originally introduced on galleons, the figurehead had several purposes:

1. Identification: It indicated the name of the ship, useful for those who could not read.
2. Symbolism: It showed the wealth and strength of the ship's owner.
3. Protection: It was believed to protect the ship and its crew during voyages.
