The Monterosso Rock in the Cinque Terre
Late afternoon in the Cinque Terre and I take a photo of the maritime symbol of Monterosso: the rock that is to the west of the beach in front of the station.
As you can see there are also some girls, surely some of the many tourists who frequent these small Ligurian villages, who are taking pictures.
At this time of day it is a really beautiful place. I could stay for hours watching the gentle waves of the sea slowly move.
As you can see I also colored a little in HDR.

Vernazza in notturna per la festa.
Ieri sera grande festa patronale a Vernazza per Santa Maria di Antiochia e non potevo esimermi dallo scattare una foto notturna del piccolo borgo delle Cinque Terre:

Where is Vernazza:

Partendo da occidente, è il secondo dei paesi che costituiscono le Cinque Terre, incastonato in una baia tra i comuni di Monterosso al Mare e Riomaggiore. Comprende anche il successivo borgo di Corniglia, sua frazione. Il territorio è anch’esso caratterizzato dai tipici terrazzamenti per la coltivazione della vite, uno stile morfologico realizzato nei secoli dall’uomo, che, secondo una stima, pare sia sviluppato per oltre 7.000 km di muretti a secco. Il territorio fa parte del Parco nazionale delle Cinque Terre.

Spiaggia di Corniglia

Spiaggia di Corniglia

Spiaggia di Corniglia.
Se avete intrapreso la camminata alle Cinque Terre sicuramente sarete partiti da Monterosso, facendo il primo sentiero, fino a Vernazza. Da Vernazza poi avrete preso il secondo sentiero fino a Corniglia.
A questo punto sarete sudati e accaldati e purtroppo i sentieri successivi, quelli che portano a Manarola e Riomaggiore, sono chiusi.
Io, una volta, sono stato alla spiaggia di Guvano (che è una spiaggia per nudisti) ma ora sembra non più possibile raggiungerla.
Soluzione? Proseguire lungo il sentiero che una volta raggiungeva Manarola e, se siete un o’ incoscienti, utilizzando la scaletta “illegale” che ieri era presente, raggiungere la bella spiaggia di pietre che sta sotto la murata di contenimento del treno.

Sottolineo: la spiaggia non è sabbiosa e, nonostante non ci siano cartelli che vietino il bagno o l’accesso, credo non sia proprio consigliato dalle guide fare il bagno lì.

Camminata da Monterosso come al solito piena di turisti “arrampicatori” ed il solito spettacolo è garantito.

I hadn't been able to visit Manarola lately. Yesterday, thanks to a beautiful September day, I filled the gap and went to the Cinque Terre to take some more photos.
It may not be the most fascinating of the five but it's still really worth a visit!

Vernazza on August 14, 2014.
A summer walk in the Cinque Terre is always a nice way to experience our Liguria and even better our Riviera di Levante. Obviously Vernazza, I hope no one will be offended, is the pearl of the five. The classic view from the path that goes to Corniglia is unmatched.

Coming from the west, Vernazza is the second of the villages that make up the Cinque Terre, in a bay between the municipalities of Monterosso al Mare and Riomaggiore. It also includes the next village of Corniglia, a hamlet of it. Its territory is also characterized by the typical terraces for growing vines, a morphological style that, according to an estimate, is developed for over 7,000 km of dry stone walls.

Gita alle Cinque Terre nella settimana di agosto complici anche le previsioni del tempo che promettevano una giornata non così soleggiata. Ovviamente ho scattato molte foto e con il tempo ne metterò molte altre: questa è di un particolare delle abitazioni di Corniglia colorate in hdr.
