Vicoletti di Mykonos infiorati.
Un paio di giorni fa sono riuscito a scendere a terra e a fare un giretto nel centro della sempre splendida Mykonos.
In questi giorni dei bei fiori rosa abbelliscono i vicoletti della cittadina greca.

Micono è un’isola cosmopolita che accoglie migliaia di turisti durante tutto l’arco dell’anno. L’isola era considerata come il paradiso della comunità LGBT, ma in seguito si presterà a diventare la “capitale” estiva della tolleranza in genere.
L’isola dà il nome a un formaggio caratteristico, il Kopanisti Mykonou di sapore forte e salato.

Marmorkirken, the marble church of Copenhagen.
The Evangelical Lutheran church of Copenhagen whose name is literally the marble church. Dedicated to the three hundred years of the coronation of the first member of the Oldenburg dynasty. It is the building with the largest dome in Scandinavia.
On the roof of the facade two beautiful statues that I photographed in hdr.
It was built together with the Frederiksstaden complex, the most important rococo complex in Europe.

Nyhavn, l'antico porto di Copenhagen

Nyhavn, l’antico porto di Copenhagen.
Se una volta era il porto principale della capitale danese oggi è diventato uno dei punti più attrattivi per i turisti.
Nelle colorate e belle casette che si affacciano sul canale si trovano infatti solamente bar, bistrot e ristorantini (carissimi) nei quali si possono passare un paio d’ore in relax. Magari aspettando uno dei tantissimi battelli turistici iper-carichi di gente. Sembrava quasi di essere nell’ora di punta a Venezia.
Più suggestive sicuramente le imbarcazioni in legno che vi sono attraccate.
Da non perdere comunque!

Nyhavn fu costruito dal re Cristiano V di Danimarca dal 1670 al 1673, scavato da prigionieri di guerra svedesi dalla guerra Dano-svedese del 1658-1660 . Si tratta di una porta dal mare al vecchio centro urbano di Kongens Nytorv (King’s Square), dove le navi gestivano il carico e il pescato dei pescatori. Era famoso per la birra, i marinai e la prostituzione. L’autore danese Hans Christian Andersen ha vissuto a Nyhavn per circa 18 anni.

The beach of Valencia

The beach of Valencia.
I certainly can't consider it a dream beach (as I have photographed and posted many here) and it is certainly not one of those places that you plan to see in the Castilian city but in any case, if you are here on holiday in the summer, you can make a quick visit.
Along the beautiful and long promenade there are several excellent restaurants and bars.
It is called Playa del Cabanyal. The golden sand extends for many meters and just before reaching the sea there are many umbrellas and sunbeds.
The water is certainly not unforgettable... terrible color and not very inviting.
It is very crowded and this is positive.

Plaza de Toros a Valencia.
La piazza della Stazione del Nord di Valencia con l’arena dei tori sulla sinistra (da cui il titolo del post).
L’arena è in stile neoclassico (si dice che sia ispirato al Colosseo).
Al suo interno si svolgono ancora combattimenti di tauromachia (con i tori cioè).

On the website lovevalencia.com ho trovato una bella descrizione dell’arena.

Lo sviluppo di recinti con caratteristiche specifiche per la realizzazione di corride di tori viene relazionato con lo sviluppo dello spettacolo come tale. Nella antichità i circhi romani avevano caratteristiche simili a quelle delle odierne arene per tauromachia (di fatto l’arena di Nîmes, in Francia, è un anfiteatro romano), e l’origine delle corride è relazionata alle antiche tradizioni romane, sebbene questi recenti in principio non erano molto utilizzanti per questi eventi.

A wonderful sand castle on the beach in Valencia.
Sand castles are always fascinating. If it is big and well made like the one on the beach in Valencia, everyone is left speechless, even adults.
This one, which remained there for all four days I was in the Spanish city, was always well-controlled and moistened by the author who stayed there all day to guard (and ask for a little offering).

These were taken in the complex of the City of Arts and Sciences and it is an area, freely accessible, where you can immerse yourself in pools, fountains and above all the lines of these futuristic constructions famous throughout the world.

It is an architectural complex composed of five different structures, divided into three thematic areas: art, science and nature. It is located in Valencia, Spain, on the old, now moved, bed of the Turia river and covers a surface area of ​​350,000 m2. The Costa Neoclassica in the Santorini Caldera
