I love summer but the sea is very beautiful even in winter.

The tower of Palazzo Fascie-Rossi from Piazza Bo in Sestri Levante.
One of my favorite architectural subjects in Sestri Levante is Palazzo Fascie-Rossi and its tower.
Also because it can be seen and photographed from many points in the center of my town.
This time I took the photo, with the telephoto lens, from the walk near Piazza Bo.

The Banco di Chiavari building in Piazza della Repubblica in Sestri Levante.
In Piazza Sant’Antonio, we can say the center of Sestri Levante’s traffic, in addition to the recent roundabout (for about fifteen years, before that there was a nice traffic light, do you remember?) there is also this beautiful building which is the headquarters, on the ground floor, of the Sestri agency of Banco di Chiavari and the Ligurian Riviera.

The Banco di Chiavari e della Riviera Ligure was founded in 1870 by a group of enterprising operators from Chiavari with the name of “Banco di Sconto del Circondario di Chiavari”, with headquarters in the same Tigullian town in the province of Genoa. The first important date was 1904 when the first branch of the new credit institution was inaugurated in nearby Rapallo, followed by others, including in 1909 the one in Varese Ligure, the first in the province of La Spezia.

The roundabout on Via Vittorio Veneto in Sestri Levante.
This small roundabout that was built not many years ago serves as a connection between Lungomare Giovanni Descalzo and Via Vittorio Veneto.

Where is the roundabout located:
The characteristic Via Penisola Levante in Sestri Levante.
One of the most beautiful streets in Sestri, the one that leads first to the small walk of the Baia del Silenzio and then, continuing, goes up the Penisola (hence the name) and arrives at the church of San Nicolò and the Castelli.
I used the telephoto for this which is a little squashed but the effect is desired!

Here's where the street is:
The houses in via Nazionale in Sestri Levante near the underpass.
When I want to go downtown on foot (or by car) from my house, there are three options: either you go through Mandela Park, or via Antica Romana Occidentale, or you go through via Nazionale.
Going through via Nazionale, when you are about to arrive in the center, you come across the railway underpass and, immediately after, a series of beautiful colored houses that I tried to emphasize in these photos.
This underpass has been there for as long as I can remember, but before, if I'm not mistaken, there was a level crossing with a small pedestrian underpass (always flooded when it rained).

The Bay of Silence at the end of May 2023.
Last year I was at home in one of the best times to enjoy the Bay of Silence: the end of May and the beginning of June.
The weather is already warm but there is not yet that summer crowd that fills the beach (or at least during the week there is not).
The best time as I said.

The Bay of Silence in Sestri Levante in winter.
My town is very spoiled in summer but in winter, for its true lovers, it is even more beautiful.
It is almost always deserted and the colors are always spectacular, both in sunny and bad weather.
