Frittelle di pomodori greche.
Qualche giorno fa ho assaggiato queste frittelle di pomodori a Santorini, in Grecia.
Non erano male anche se non mi hanno proprio fatto impazzire. Purtroppo non vi so dire il nome.

Polpo alla griglia alla greca.
Andare in Grecia, in questo caso a Santorini, e non mangiare un piatto di polpo alla griglia è quasi un delitto.
Qualche giorno fa, infatti, trovandomi con la nave nella appena menzionata isola greca, ne ho approfittato e ho mangiato questo bel piatto di polpo alla griglia.
Devo dire che è una delle più belle foto che abbia mai postato su questo sito, assieme all’altra foto sempre di octopus ma alla gallega.
Semplice e gustosissimo (e carissimo!), appoggiato sopra a qualche foglia di lattuga.

Il polpo comune o piovra è un cefalopode della famiglia Octopodidae. Viene chiamato anche pòlipo nell’uso comune, ma non deve essere confuso col polipo che invece è ad esempio l’animale (appartenente agli Cnidari) che dà origine al corallo.

Insalata di polpo alla greca.
Le mie più recenti foto di piatti succulenti hanno come soggetto principale il pesce e, in particolare modo, il polpo.
Qualche giorno fa, a Santorini in Grecia, ho potuto apprezzare uno dei piatti più famosi: una insalata con polpo.
Ovviamente c’era lattuga, cipolla, pomodori e polpo (stufato). Tutto condito con un filo d’olio e qualche goccia di aceto. Senza dimenticare una spolverata di origano.

Che un angelo ti protegga.
Tutti noi abbiamo qualcuno a cui teniamo che è scomparso e molti di noi affidano la sua anima ad un angelo.
Questa statua, un po’ imbruttita dal tempo, mi piaceva e per quello l’ho fotografata.
Si trova nel cimitero di San Bartolomeo della Ginestra.

Cena nell’albergo a Bari (Hotel Palace) e devo dire che ho mangiato anche discretamente bene.
Primo di tortelloni neri con farcia di pescatrice su brodetto di cozze e broccoli, accompagnato da un buon Chardonnay locale.

The face of the departed: one of the remains of Pompeii.
The face of the departed in this remnant of the city of Pompeii, one of the finds that struck me the most (which is not a statue but I will explain later).
As you all know, Pompeii is the Roman town that around the year zero was swept away, together with Herculaneum, by one of the largest eruptions of Vesuvius.
I used the words "swept away" which are actually not correct. In fact, the fury of the volcano, rather than destroying, covered the town with a layer of dust and lava.
It all happened so suddenly that many did not even manage to escape. The subject of this photo in fact represents one of those people who, surprised by the erection, sought shelter somewhere in vain. It is shocking to observe the hands trying to cover the face.

Pompeii (Latin: Pompeii) is an ancient city, corresponding to the current Pompeii, whose history dates back to the 9th century BC and ends in 79, when, following the eruption of Vesuvius, it was covered under a blanket of ash and lapilli about six meters high. Its rediscovery and the related excavations, begun in 1748, brought to light an archaeological site that in 1997 became part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, and which is the second most visited Italian monument after the museum system of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine.

Lexikon 80 qualche immagine della macchina da scrivere.
La Lexikon 80 che forse vi sarà capitato di vederne in qualche studio di avvocati o notai, fare la sua bella presenza su una scrivania.
Questa fa parte della storia della scrittura e del design: la Olivetti Lexikon 80.
Non a caso è esposta in maniera permanente al museo di arte moderna di New York.
Da notare che la tastiera non è qwerty ma qzwerty!
