A calle, the characteristic alley of the city of Venice. Strolling, a few months ago, through the historic center of the Serenissima (this is the nickname of the Venetian lagoon city). Every corner is a spectacular setting for street photos.

The city was the capital of the Serenissima Republic of Venice for 1,100 years and is known in this regard as the Serenissima, the Dominant and the Queen of the Adriatic: for its urban peculiarities and its artistic heritage, it is universally considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, declared, together with its lagoon, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which has contributed to making it the second Italian city after Rome with the highest tourist flow.

Papa Paolo VI, in latino: Paulus PP. The tower of Fascie-Rossi palace from via Maria Teresa in Sestri Levante. Walking along this pedestrian street, which leads from the center to the promenade and the sea, I noticed the beautiful red tower of Palazzo Fascie emerging from among the buildings. To tell the truth, I haven't found much online about the history of this building.

Mount Caucasus and the splendid view of Eastern Liguria. Some time ago I walked the path that from Barbagelata reaches the top of Mount Caucasus. On the top there is a beautiful refuge and a chapel and the view extends over almost the entire Eastern Ligurian Riviera.

There are several paths that lead to the summit: among these, the path that starts from Scoglina and the steep path that goes up from Neirone. Another path starts from the village of Barbagelata, from where on New Year's Eve a torchlight procession is led on foot to the chapel dedicated to the Madonna located on the summit of the mountain.

Via Dante Alighieri in Lavagna seen from the roof of the Porticato Brignardello. I really like taking photos in the area of the Basilica of Santo Stefano in Lavagna. In addition to the splendid churchyard (which I have photographed many times) and the beautiful Brignardello portico, in this shot I photographed the street that passes through the square, via Dante Alighieri, from the terrace that is built above the portico itself. A new point of view!
