Walking through the center of the coastal city I found this building whose decorations on the facade I liked.
The only pity is that they are disappearing and that they are no longer very visible.

Where is the palace:
The wonderful Porta delle Saline in Rapallo.
Perhaps a little hidden but truly one of the most beautiful things to see in the center of Rapallo.
It is located at the end of the seafront promenade and can be walked along to enter the alley.

Where is the gate located:
It is the only survivor of the five gates of the ancient “walled village”, and owes its name to its proximity to the salt mines, of which the Genoese Doria family had a monopoly, which were active for many centuries in the flat area near the beach in the centre of the gulf.

Some time ago, walking in via Mazzini, I noticed this beautiful restored sundial.
With the Latin phrase: “Sol omnibus lucet” (translation: the sun shines for everyone)!

The charm of the massive Rapallo Castle.
Every time I visit Rapallo I can't help but take a couple of photos of the castle that dominates the entire promenade of the coastal city.
And every time I think of when in summer, for the patronal festivals, the castle is "burned"!

The castle on the sea is a defensive position in Rapallo, in the metropolitan city of Genoa, built to defend the body of water near the Vittorio Veneto seafront. It is also called a medieval castle with an incorrect definition since the construction dates back only to the second half of the 16th century.

Una foto scattata in estate dei pontili e degli stabilimenti balneari di Rapallo poco a Levante del Castello.
Non essendoci molta spiaggia lungo la costa (solo recentemente si è creata una spiaggetta nuova) ci si è dovuti arrangiare e sfruttare queste costruzioni per ampliare lo spazio per lettini ed ombrelloni.

Walking in the historic center of Rapallo, just behind the caruggio, you can find several very nice views.
Like this one, in Vico dell’Oro, with the classic little arches (archi di sbatacchio) between the buildings.
