The Bosphorus (in Turkish Boğaziçi, İstanbul Boğazı or Boğaz; in Greek Βόσπορος?, Bósporos) is the strait that connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara and marks, together with the Dardanelles, the southern border between the European continent and the Asian continent. It is 31.7 km long and 550 to 3,000 meters wide. On the European shore, around the Golden Horn, the city of Istanbul, the ancient Constantinople, developed, whose current urban area also extends to the Asian shore for about 18 kilometers.

Città affascinante (lo dico dopo aver visto le foto perchè alla fine io non ci sono mai stato…) con templi, parchi e non ultima la grande muraglia che lambisce la città.
Queste mi sono state fornite dalla Francesca (come tutte quelle che inserirò nei prossimi giorni) e, anche se credo ce sia lei l’autrice, non ne sono sicurissimo… Comunque o è stata lei oppure un suo amico!

Pechino (in cinese 北京S, BěijīngP, letteralmente “capitale del nord”) è la capitale della Cina e della municipalità omonima. L’intera municipalità ha dimensioni pari a poco più della metà del Belgio avendone però quasi il doppio degli abitanti (21.516.000[senza fonte]). Pechino è la seconda città più popolata della Cina dopo Shanghai, la capitale di Stato più popolata al mondo, e la seconda città del mondo per popolazione. Confina esclusivamente con la provincia dell’Hebei e a sud-est con la municipalità di Tientsin.
