It is the first municipality you come across when travelling from Genoa towards the Riviera di Levante, in a small inlet at the mouth of the river of the same name. Among the reliefs of the territory there is Mount Cordona (803 m) along the ancient path to the hamlet of Sessarego and Mount Rotondo (789 m). The beaches alternate with deep and characteristic cliffs. It is possible to practice surfing there. The hinterland is typical of eastern Liguria, partly with strips of olive groves, with the possibility of excursions.

Il borgo marinaro di Camogli in Liguria il 7 gennaio 2022.
Lo scorso inverno, quando la mia fidanzata era in vacanza in Italia, sono stato a visitare il bel borgo di Camogli e, complice la splendida giornata di sole invernale, ho scattato diverse foto e registrato diversi video.
Questo è la fotografia classica che tutti realizzano e comprende la bella spiaggia che termina la baia con la bella Basilica Minore di Santa Maria Assunta ed il Castello della Dragonara.

The most significant architectural aspect of the town is the presence of colored buildings overlooking the beach. The colors and the lighter horizontal lines (called string courses) served the sailors of Camogli to more easily recognize their home among the various floors of the buildings in the village and return there after fishing.

Una Baia del Silenzio di fine ottobre

Una Baia del Silenzio di fine ottobre.
Anche in autunno ci sono dei giorni in cui la nostra Baia è magnifica.
Addirittura in alcuni giorni di autunno (o della primavera) Portobello è ancora più bella che mai.
Si può fare una passeggiata lungo il bagnasciugha e magari si è totalmente da soli.

Da qualunque punto la si fotografi la Baia del Silenzio è sempre bellissima.
Questa foto di un fine settembre dello scorso anno vi fa capire che quasi sempre settembre è il mese ideale per fare una vacanza nella mia cittadina e in Liguria.

The Bay of Silence seen from Ciappa du Lu.
These are the last two photos I had left to publish from that time he went down, along the Punta Manara path, to the famous rock called Ciappa du Lu.
In addition to being a place that is now almost uncontaminated, or at least it is in the non-summer periods, from there you can see one of the most beautiful views of the Bay of Silence.

The splendid San Fruttuoso di Camogli.
I never stop rolling my eyes every time I find myself in front of one of the photos I took on one of my trips to San Fruttuoso.
At the moment I have already reached the splendid Abbey both from Camogli (path of the chains) and from Santa Margherita Ligure (from the Portofino mountain) and both paths were very challenging and long but, at the same time, they gave me dozens of shots in nature.

Here is where the Abbey is located:

The abbey is dedicated to Saint Fructuosus of Tarragona, a 3rd century Catalan bishop and saint, whose ashes are preserved in the abbey, where they were supposedly transferred following the Arab invasion of the Iberian Peninsula.
The abbey cannot be reached by any road, but can only be accessed by sea or by following two panoramic paths: one that descends from the Portofino mountain above and the other that runs along the coast starting from the Portofino bay. The abbey overlooks the bathing beach in front.

Le case in baia a Sestri Levante.
Non credo ci sia bisogno di specificare di quale baia sto parlando.
Il luogo della mia Sestri Levante più famoso e sicuramente più fotografato nel quale le case si appoggiano direttamente sulla sabbia della spiaggia.
Questa foto, scattata ormai diversi mesi fa (esattamente il 4 gennaio scorso), è della Baia del Silenzio (ovviamente!).
