Fiori d’acacia. Un fiore molto particolare che fiorisce tra aprile e maggio. Un fiore bianco che si contrappone alle lunghe spine del fusto. Erano molti gli insetti alla ricerca del suo nettare.
La Massoneria ha scelto come simbolo floreale l’acacia, pianta con grande valore simbolico collegata alla leggenda del Maestro Hiram, in quanto ritenuta vigorosa e gentile simbolo di immortalità e purezza, che non appassisce mai durante il corso delle stagioni eppure si rinnova sempre. Fiorellini a Lambert Bay. Dei piccoli fiori bianchi e viola che ho trovato in questa bella spiaggia caraibica. Dovrebbero appartenere and una pianta di mangrovia che era proprio nella sabbia a una decina di metri dall’acqua del mare. Un bel benvenuto alla spiaggia.
La mangrovia è una formazione vegetale (o forestale), costituita da piante prevalentemente legnose, che si sviluppa sui litorali bassi delle coste marine tropicali, in particolare nella fascia periodicamente sommersa dalla marea. Azalea, an explosion of colors in a single plant. The azalea is a spectacular flower, or rather a plant. A few days ago, walking with my dog, I found this beautiful plant, with hundreds of white and pink flowers... a spectacle!

Azalea and rhododendron are plants belonging to the genus Rhododendron (L. 1753) of the Ericaceae family, native to Eurasia and America. The name derives from the Greek words ῥόδον (rhodon, rose) and δένδρον (dendron, tree). This genus includes over 500 species, infinite hybrids and varieties, of shrubby plants, ranging from 40 to 90 cm, with open, large, rough, oval or lanceolate crowns, glossy dark green on the upper side, lighter or rusty on the lower side, with a glabrous and revolute margin, simple or double flowers, with showy colours, bell-shaped, with sometimes wavy lobes, gathered in large bunches, at the ends of the branches. La Zagara: il bellissimo fiore del limone. Non è la prima volta che metto una foto di questo fiore, la zagara, ma credo sia veramente molto bello. E’ il fiore del limone ma anche di tutti gli altri agrumi.

Per zagara si intende in particolare il fiore dell’arancio e del limone oltreché del bergamotto (che invece fiorisce tra la fine di marzo e aprile: i frutti vengono raccolti da ottobre a dicembre). La fioritura avviene tra aprile e maggio. Continue and learn more on Wikipedia
