Un vicolo di San Bernardo, frazione di Sestri Levante.
Da pochi mesi ho scoperto il bel sentiero che da Santo Stefano del Ponte porta fino alla frazione, poco più in alto, di San Bernardo.
Il piccolo borgo circondato da ulivi che domina la mia cittadina.
Un vicolo principale (quello nella foto), con in fondo la chiesa del paesino, su cui si affacciano praticamente tutte le case.

Dove si trova Tellaro:

Tellaro is the easternmost hamlet of the municipality of Lerici, in the province of La Spezia. It has been reviewed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The town is a small seaside village, perched on a cliff overlooking the Gulf of La Spezia. A destination for many Italian and foreign artists, Mario Soldati found a home here during the long years of his old age.

Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi a Lerici.
Una delle piazze più belle del borgo marinaro vicino a La Spezia.
Le classiche case colorate, come da tradizione costiera ligure, fanno da cornice a questo bello scorcio.

E’ con la Repubblica di Genova che Lerici cominciò ad assumere un ruolo più importante.
Dopo aver acquistato Porto Venere e averne fatto una base strategica per il controllo del golfo spezzino, Genova venne in possesso anche di Lerici, negoziando con i Signori di Vezzano e di Arcola, che erano i feudatari della località.

Portofino vista dall’alto

Portofino vista dall’alto.
Qualche mese fa ho percorso il bellissimo (e piuttosto lungo) sentiero che parte da Santa Margherita Ligure e che, passando dal Monte di Portofino, raggiunge San Fruttuoso di Camogli e poi ritorna nella splendida Portofino.
Quando si sta per arrivare nel borgo ci sono un paio di punti veramente spettacolari per fotografare il bel borgo marinaro famoso in tutto il mondo.

Nel 1175 il piccolo borgo marinaro fu sottoposto al controllo amministrativo, assieme all’attigua Santa Margherita Ligure, del libero comune di Rapallo, che acquistò i diritti sul borgo per 70 lire genovesi per conto dei consoli rapallesi.

Il centro del Borgorotondo di Varese Ligure.
Dall’ultima volta che sono stato nel bel borgo di varese Ligure avanzo ancora una splendida immagine delle case e dei portici che si affacciano sulla piazzetta centrale (piazza Fieschi) da cui la cittadina prende il nome di borgo Rotondo.

Commissioned by the Fieschi family for the control and defence of the Varese area, it is made up of identical stone houses arranged along the perimeter which, with an elliptical shape, enclose the two main squares (Piazza Fieschi and Piazza Castello), where the commercial activities, warehouses and laboratories were located in the porticoes below.

The ancient toponym of Moneglia (ad Monilia) appears in the Tavola Peutingeriana, a copy of the military map of the Roman Empire (11th – 12th century) preserved in the Austrian National Library in Vienna, discovered by the antiquarian of Augsburg, Corrado Peutinger, in the sixteenth century.

Uno splendido scorcio di Sestri Levante.
Uno degli scorci più belli della mia Sestri Levante che si trova in vico Marina di Ponente.
Sulla destra dell’arco si può vedere il fusto della vite poiché la casa sulla destra è proprio una delle tre case delle viti che sono nella mia cittadina.

Due passi e molti scatti nella sempre splendida Varese Ligure, il famoso Borgorotondo nell’entroterra di Sestri Levante lungo la strada provinciale che congiunge la Riviera con l’Emilia Romagna.

Here's where the town is located:

Borgo Rotondo in the historic center of Varese. Commissioned by the Fieschi family for the control and defense of the Varese territory, it is made up of identical stone houses arranged along the perimeter which, with an elliptical shape, enclose the two main squares (Piazza Fieschi and Piazza Castello), where the commercial activities, warehouses and laboratories were located in the underlying porticoes.

Moneglia beach seen from the Punta Baffe path

Moneglia beach seen from the Punta Baffe path.
A very pretty village in the Levante Ligure (the last municipality in the province of Genoa) is Moneglia.
Frequented by many summer tourists, who have their second home here, it has a beautiful (although small) beach protected by a couple of rock dams parallel to the coast.
The photo was taken from the path that connects the village with Riva Trigoso passing through Punta Baffe.

Un vicolo di Moneglia

Un vicolo di Moneglia.
In Liguria ci sono moltissimi borghi marinari, e non solo, che nascondono scorci di una bellezza unica.
In questo scatto, per esempio, ero a Moneglia l’ultimo comune a Levante della provincia di Genova.
Questo bel vicolo con i tipici archi che vanno da una casa all’altra sono proprio tipici dell’architettura ligure.
