Un murale enorme su un casermone a Salvador de Bahia.
Un paio di anni fa, ormai, quando con la nave (la Costa Fascinosa) siamo arrivati a Salvador de Bahia, ho scattato diverse foto alla parte di città che sta attorno al porto e avevo avanzato questa immagine da postarvi.
Un enorme murale che rappresenta un ragazzo con cappellino e occhiali da sole.
Magari è anche una opera importante o dal significato importante ma questo purtroppo non so dirvelo.

The rack railway of Salvador de Bahia.
I have been to Salvador several times, always by ship. In recent years, however, I have not gone out much and have limited myself to taking a few photos from the ship.
Like this one that portrays the rack railway that goes from the port to the elevated neighborhood of Pelourinho.

The colorful houses in Pelourinho in Salvador, Brazil.
Seen from the outside, the houses in this famous neighborhood in the Brazilian city of Salvador de Bahia, seem a bit run down. By outside I mean from the sea, let's say from the back.
However, there are some restored and well-kept even from the less seen side, such as this one colored in blue, very beautiful!

Case del Pelourinho dalla nave.
A dire la verità fotografare questo quartiere dal porto non gli rende probabilmente molto onore.
Infatti le case del pelourinho sono molto povere e fanno pensare quasi più ad una favela che ad un quartiere centrale della città di Salvador. L’ultima volta che ne avevo percorso le strade mi sembrava molto ben tenuto.
Probabilmente le aree più frequentate dai turisti sono anche meglio tenute mentre il resto delle case è un poco lasciato andare.

Some churches in Pelourinho in Salvador

Some churches in Pelourinho in Salvador photographed from the ship.
The historic district of the city of Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, has a multitude of churches and bell towers.
I photographed these from the ship while we were anchored in the port. Unfortunately this year I was unable to go out and take a tour of this beautiful place.
Brazil is a land whose inhabitants are very religious, as can be seen from the many religious buildings and churches that I photographed.
