The small port of Camogli seen from Recco with a telephoto lens.
Some time ago I was in Recco and from there I photographed, thanks to a powerful lens, the small port of Camogli.
The sky, being summer, was not very clear and therefore the photos are a little blurry but always in an unusual perspective for me.

The most significant architectural aspect of the town is the presence of colored buildings overlooking the beach. The colors and the lighter horizontal lines (called string courses) served the sailors of Camogli to more easily recognize their home among the various floors of the buildings in the village and return there after fishing.

The village and the small port of Camogli seen from Ruta.
In the last few weeks I have gone back and forth between Sestri Levante and Genoa several times; on many occasions, being in the summer season, I went by scooter and was able to enjoy all the beauty of our Riviera di Levante.
When the Aurelia then passes by Ruta (of Camogli) the view of the beautiful seaside village is unparalleled, don't you think so too?

Beautiful Camogli photographed from inside the sea water
A few weeks ago I went for a nice swim on the beach of the village of Camogli (Genoa) and so I did some photography tests from inside the water with my Gopro and the new gadget I bought for taking pictures in the water: the dome!
Of the dozens of photos I took, only two turned out to be half decent and I'm posting them here.
I hope to improve in the next releases!

A glimpse of Camogli, the beautiful seaside village in Liguria.
Just behind the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and the Dragonara Castle there is a small cluster of houses with some almost secret alleys.
This is what you will find in front of you as you walk along with the inevitable clothesline, placed between one house and the one in front, so common in seaside villages.

Le molte barche nel porticciolo di Camogli.
Una passeggiata nel borgo di Camogli anche in inverno (qui era lo scorso 7 gennaio) e’ sempre un piacere.
E, anche se la temperatura e’ fresca, basta scegliere una giornata di bel tempo e si può godere di uno spettacolo unico: da un lato il mare e dall’altro il bel porticciolo con le tante barchette, incorniciato dalle famose case colorate del borgo.

Typical seaside village, a tourist center known for its small port and the colorful buildings on the seafront. It is also called the "City of a thousand white sailing ships". Its inhabitants, the Camogliesi, are sometimes called camoglini by local tradition, modeled on the Ligurian camoggin.

Last year I had a lot of time at home to visit many of the villages of my Eastern Liguria.
One of the ones I like to photograph the most is Camogli and the classic photograph of the bay with the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta in the background.

The seaside village of Camogli in Liguria on January 7, 2022.
Last winter, when my girlfriend was on vacation in Italy, I went to visit the beautiful village of Camogli and, thanks to the splendid sunny winter day, I took several photos and recorded several videos.
This is the classic photograph that everyone takes and includes the beautiful beach that ends the bay with the beautiful Basilica Minore di Santa Maria Assunta and the Dragonara Castle.

The splendid San Fruttuoso of Camogli

The splendid San Fruttuoso di Camogli.
I never stop rolling my eyes every time I find myself in front of one of the photos I took on one of my trips to San Fruttuoso.
At the moment I have already reached the splendid Abbey both from Camogli (path of the chains) and from Santa Margherita Ligure (from the Portofino mountain) and both paths were very challenging and long but, at the same time, they gave me dozens of shots in nature.

Here is where the Abbey is located:

The abbey is dedicated to Saint Fructuosus of Tarragona, a 3rd century Catalan bishop and saint, whose ashes are preserved in the abbey, where they were supposedly transferred following the Arab invasion of the Iberian Peninsula.
The abbey cannot be reached by any road, but can only be accessed by sea or by following two panoramic paths: one that descends from the Portofino mountain above and the other that runs along the coast starting from the Portofino bay. The abbey overlooks the bathing beach in front.
