The famous colored houses of the island of Burano near Venice.
I have seen many photos of the colored houses but I finally managed to see them, and photograph them, with my own eyes (and my lenses!).
And I must tell the truth that walking through the canals of the island is truly an unforgettable and, perhaps, unparalleled experience.

Burano is a town of 2,270 inhabitants that stands on four islands in the northern Venetian lagoon. It is part of the municipality of Venice and in particular of the municipality of Venice-Murano-Burano. It is connected by a bridge to the island of Mazzorbo, which has become a sort of appendix. The town is known for its typical brightly colored houses and for the centuries-old artisan needlework of Burano lace.

I Navigli di Milano

I Navigli di Milano.
Una delle zone più famose per il divertimento serale (la cosi detta movida) e’ quella dei Navigli.
Bar e ristoranti accolgono i giovani per aperitivi e per passare le serate.
In questo caso ero li a pranzo e devo dire che l’offerta era molto varia e ben strutturata.
La zona e’ molto rilassante e ben tenuta, assolutamente da visitare.

I Navigli di Milano sono un sistema di canali irrigui e navigabili, con baricentro la città lombarda di Milano, che metteva in comunicazione il lago Maggiore, quello di Como e il basso Ticino aprendo al capoluogo lombardo le vie d’acqua della Svizzera e dell’Europa nordoccidentale, del Cantone dei Grigioni e dell’Europa nordorientale e, infine, quella del Po verso il mare Adriatico.

The Little Window in Via Piella, the Venice of Bologna.
One of the places usually mentioned among the secrets of the city (but which at this point has become one of the most visited and photographed tourist places) is this small window which, if opened, shows one of the last remaining canals in Bologna.
It really seems like you are in Venice.

The Bolognese water network was gradually developed between the 12th and 16th centuries, starting from the two fundamental works, namely the locks of San Ruffillo and Casalecchio, on the Savena torrent and the Reno river respectively, initially made necessary to increase the number of grain mills and to feed the moat of the second circle of city walls.

Boating on the Mekong River in Vietnam

Boating on the Mekong River in Vietnam.
A very iconic photograph of Vietnam: sitting behind a boatwoman on the Mekong Delta.
But it could be similar in many other parts of this country that makes trips along the waterways a great attraction for tourists.
As mentioned on the Mekong Delta but also in Ninh Binh or in Ha Long Bay.
The peculiarity here was the narrow street and the mud along the banks.

Non ho moltissimo da scrivere su questa foto anche perche’ recentemente della citta’ lagunare vi ho postato diverse foto.
Sempre splendida la partenza con la nave al tramonto.
I colori sono magnifici.

Canale di Venezia

Canale di Venezia.
Partendo ed arrivando a Venezia le occasioni per fare foto non mancano certo.
Purtroppo fino ad adesso non sono ancora andato in giro per la citta’ a piedi ma comunque dalla nave, alla partenza, non mancano certo i soggetti da fotografare.

St. Mark's Square, the symbol of Venice

St. Mark's Square, the symbol of Venice, seen from the ship.
Inserted all the photos taken in Venice last week, among which the most beautiful is this one of Piazza San Marco.
Most of which were taken from the ship leaving the Port.
A unique spectacle in the world.

This photo, by the way, taken in raw and edited in hdr, is the classic of classics.

Piazza San Marco, located in Venice in the Veneto region, is one of the most important monumental squares in the world, renowned throughout the planet for its beauty and architectural integrity. It is also known as “The Drawing Room of Europe” or “The Piazza”. It is the only urban space in Venice that properly takes the name of “piazza”, as all other spaces in the shape of a square are properly defined as “campi”. Its main body has a trapezoidal shape, onto which other areas are grafted, and is approximately 170 meters long.

Canale di Venezia

Canale di Venezia.
In attesa di pubblicare le diverse foto che ho scattato nell’ultima settimana in crociera, e sono tante, ve ne metto una di Venezia che ho notato non essere presente sul mio sito.
Purtroppo non sono riuscito a raggiungere piazza San Marco a piedi ma l’ho fotografata dalla nave… Vedrete.
