La passeggiata di St Marteen

La passeggiata dell’isola di St Maarten ai Caraibi.
Quando si va al mare e’ poi anche molto rilassante sedersi in un bar lungo la spiaggia a bere qualcosa.
Questa e’ la passeggiata che accompagna la bella spiaggia di Great Bay, a Sint Maarten, e che probabilmente di tutte le isole che ho visitato in questa stagione e’ la piu sviluppata.
Ci sono decine di negozi (di souvenir) e decine di bars/ristorantini per tutti i gusti.

Scala verso il mare ad Antigua.
Nella splendida spiaggia di Dickenson Bay, nella famosia isola dei Caraibi, c’e’ questo punto molto scenografico.
Non fa venire proprio voglia di scendere quel paio di gradini ed immergersi in quelle acque turchesi?
Ho fatto diverse foto ma lo ammetto, la qualita’ dei colori non mi soddisfa. Non sono stato in grado di replicare la bellezza del posto.

Una delle spiagge piu belle dei Caraibi e forse una delle più famose.
Diversi anni fa c’ero gia’ stato ma non ero riuscito a scattare delle foto cosi’ belle.
La spiaggia e’ veramente un sogno, spero ve ne rendiate conto dalla foto.

Pellicano sulla spiaggia di Lambert Bay

Un pellicano sulla spiaggia di Lambert Bay.
Uno dei simboli dei caraibi, oltre ovviamente alle spiagge, è il pellicano, uccello che spesso abita le coste delle piccole isole.
Questa foto infatti, l’ho scattata in una spiaggia di Tortola, e questo animale sembrava quasi farsi avvicinare per scattare la foto.
Purtroppo non avevo con me il teleobiettivo e dovete accontentarvi di una immagine un pochino lontana.

Tortola is the largest and most populous island in the British Virgin Islands overseas territory of the United Kingdom. It is home to the territory’s capital, Road Town. Local tradition says that Christopher Columbus named the island Tórtola, after the Italian word for turtle dove. In fact, Columbus named the island “Santa Ana.” A Dutch settler named it Ter Tholen, after a coastal town in the Netherlands.

Corallo in spiaggia a Barbados.
Molte delle spiagge pu’ belle al mondo hanno la sabbia che altro non e’ che barriera corallina trasformata in sabbia.
Non sono da meno, ovviamente, le spiagge dell’isola di Barbados ove, oltre alla sabbia calcarea proveniente dallo disgregamento dell’isola potete vedere innumerevelo pezzi di corallo e conchiglie che ne formano l’arenile.
Piano piano ache questo piccolo pezzo di carbonato di calcio, probabilmente non uno dei piu’ bei coralli che avrei potuto fotografare, diventera’ sabbia bianchissima.

Il corallo, percepito comunemente come un singolo organismo, in realtà è formato da migliaia d’individui identici geneticamente detti polipi, ognuno grande solo pochi millimetri.

Dream beaches: Grand Anse in Grenada.
The island of Grenada also has a really nice little beach not far from the ship.
I honestly don't know if it's the most beautiful and famous on the island. I'll just say that it's really beautiful and, even if the day I was there wasn't one of the nicest (meteorologically speaking) it was definitely worth a nice swim.
The sand is very fine, the water (fresh) is quite transparent and there are several resorts (perhaps a little too many) that provide you with sunbeds and drinks.
Very touristy unfortunately!

The most popular beaches are located in the southwest of the island, where the airport is also located. In this area is Grand Anse Beach, a 3 km long beach considered one of the 10 most beautiful in the world.

Mare e spiaggia da sogno ad Antigua.
Una immagine emblematica del mio ultimo contratto sulla Costa Magica: un mare e una spiaggia da sogno.
Questa, in particolare, era Dickenson’s Bay nella mia particolare classifica delle spiagge piu’ belle che ho visitato ai Caraibi al secondo posto dietro a Barbados.
Come potete vedere, senza aggiustamenti di colore o hdr, l’acqua era proprio turchese e la sabbia… quasi borotalco!

Acqua a Maho Bay

Mare da sogno: acqua a Maho Bay.
E’ una delle spiagge piu’ famose dell’isola caraibica di Saint Martin nota per gli aerei che la sorvolano a distanza ravvicinata.
Ma non e’ solo per quello: in realta’ la sabbia e’ bianchissima e l’acqua del classico turchese da sogno.
Un centinaio di metri si sabbia con da un lato bar e ristoranti, dall’altro un grande resort e alle spalle la pista dell’aeroporto internazionale.

In un altro post vi mostrero’ la spiaggia nella sua interezza.

Dream beaches: Lambert Bay in Tortola.
One of the most beautiful and pristine beaches on the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands of the Caribbean.
There is only one splendid resort on this very natural and rarely visited beach. We understood that the sea is often rough in this small bay and in fact there are several warning signs for swimming.
Obviously they did not stop us and we enjoyed a couple of hours of relaxation in the Caribbean sun.

Costa Magica a Grenada

Costa Magica a Grenada.
Una bella foto, scattata un paio di mesi fa, mentre la nave era ancorata nel porto di Saint George’s.
Devo dire che questo e’ stato uno degli itinerari piu’ belli in cui sono stato a lavorare. Tantissime belle isole e soprattutto tantissime belle spiagge.
I porti e le ciddadine limitrofe, ad eccezione di pochi, non erano un granche’, purtroppo.
Vi invito a vedere gli itinerari dell’anno prossimo per pensare ad una bela crociera li, ovviamente con Costa Crociere.

Se poi osservate bene la seconda immagine potrete vedere delle piantine molto “particolari” e profumate!
