Il mese scorso sono stato diverse volte in centro a Chiavari e non potevo non scattare anche la classicissima foto del Caruggio Dritto.

The historic center of Chiavari can be considered one of the best preserved and preserved areas of the entire Tigullio district. Its urban and architectural structure is in fact very different from other coastal municipalities, especially due to the numerous presence of medieval porticoes along the main street of the historic center - the Caruggio Dritto - (via Martiri della Liberazione and via Vittorio Veneto) - symbol par excellence of the bourgeois class from the second half of the 14th century.

The historic center of Chiavari: the beautiful Via Vittorio Veneto.
The historic center of the city of Chiavari is famous for its arcades.
There is a long, straight pedestrian street (which in Liguria is called caruggio) that crosses almost the entire center called Via Martiri della Liberazione (the western part) and precisely Via Vittorio Veneto (the eastern part).

Where is the street located:

Vittorio Veneto is an Italian town of 26,989 inhabitants in the province of Treviso in Veneto. The battle of the same name was fought there during the Great War; the victory of the Italian army over the Austro-Hungarian army resulted in the Austrian surrender and the end of the war.

Uno scorcio fiorito del centro storico di Brugnato, in Liguria.
Un bel borgo in provincia della Spezia, ben tenuto e ben curato.
Questo è uno scorcio del carrugio curvato nel centro storico, ritratto diverso tempo fa.

Between the 7th and 8th centuries, following the conquest of Liguria by the Lombards, the Columban monks of Bobbio, who followed the rule of Saint Columbanus and continued their work of evangelization, built a monastery that over time grew to become a religious and economic nerve center. The birth of Brugnato is therefore linked to the foundation of the abbey which, like other monastic sites in Liguria and northern Italy, depended on the abbey of San Colombano di Bobbio.

One of the classic photos of Sestri, besides obviously the wonderful Baia del Silenzio, is the typical caruggio (the pedestrian street so typical of Ligurian villages) with its colorful houses with shops on the ground floor.

Muovendosi tra le viuzze del piccolo borgo di Sesta Godano, in provincia della Spezia, ho scattato diverse foto agli scorci che le case in pietra offrono ai visitatori (pochi purtroppo).

Una bella piazzetta di Sesta Godano

Una bella piazzetta di Sesta Godano in provincia della Spezia.
Ero stato da bambino qualche volta a Sesta ma non ricordavo fosse un borgo così carino.
Qualche mese fa ci sono passato per una piccola gita e devo dire che ho trovato un paese molto carino e ben tenuto.
Questa è una bella piazzetta, con fontana, nel carrugio (che se non sbaglio si chiama via Vecchia) del borgo.

I palazzi del centro storico di Chiavari in Liguria.
Tutte le volte che faccio un giretto in centro a Chiavari, fotografo sempre le facciate dei palazzi.
Mi piacciono molto e tutte le volte mi sembra di trovare nuovi colori e nuove forme.
La prima foto è stata scattata in carrugio dritto (via martiri della Liberazione ufficialmente) mentre la seconda è stata scattata in via Ravaschieri (la parallela al carrugio dritto lato monti).

Uno scorcio di Villa Rovereto sulle alture di Sestri Levante.
La piccola ma molto carina frazione di Villa Rovereto su trova lungo la strada che da Santa Vittoria di Libiola, scavallando il crinale a Villa Tassani, scende a Casarza Ligure.
Un bel borghetto quasi tutto ristrutturato con due carrugi e diversi scorci interessanti.

Grazie al tele sono riuscito a scattare una bella foto della parte a Ponente del caruggio del borgo di Moneglia con, in alto, la Fortezza di Monleone che domina il paese.

La fortezza di Monleone era un antico insediamento difensivo e d’avvistamento, voluto dalla Repubblica di Genova nel XII secolo, situata alle prime pendici ad ovest dell’abitato di Moneglia.

The architectural layout remained unchanged until the late sixteenth century; from that time onwards new noble palaces were built within the walls in the contemporary Renaissance style. The choice of the new architectural style was especially evident in the main streets Ravaschieri and Stefano Rivarola where palaces very similar to other buildings in Genoa were erected or revised. From 1648, or perhaps from 1646, it received the title of City from the Republic of Genoa.
