The typical Ligurian houses, all colored and attached to each other, welcome all the visitors of the splendid Portofino.
Its little port, which is probably the most photographed in Liguria, is really splendid too, don't be offended if I tell you, there are equally beautiful ones in other villages.

Tellaro is the easternmost hamlet of the municipality of Lerici, in the province of La Spezia. It has been reviewed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The town is a small seaside village, perched on a cliff overlooking the Gulf of La Spezia. A destination for many Italian and foreign artists, Mario Soldati found a home here during the long years of his old age.

Camminando tra le case nuove a Sestri Levante.
Ogni tanto mi piace passeggiare anche tra questi palazzi che esteticamente, devo ammetterlo, non piacciono proprio a tutti.
Sono le case costruite su una parte delle aree su cui sorgeva la ex FIT FERROTUBI la grande industria siderurgica che mergeva nella mia cittadina nel secolo scorso.

La Fabbrica Italiana Tubi (in sigla FIT e localmente conosciuta come Tubifera) è stata un’azienda produttrice di tubi metallici nello stabilimento di Sestri Levante. Fu tra le prime in Italia a produrre tubi senza saldatura.

The square and Via Venezia in Rapallo.
To tell the truth, I have been to the town of Rapallo very few times to take “urban” photos and I decided to fill this gap a couple of weeks ago.
This street (which is actually a square) is right behind the Rapallo alley and, with its nineteenth-century gazebo (in the photo you can only see a couple of supports for two mobile covers, the gazebo is a little further ahead) is one of the most visited places in the center.
I preferred to focus my attention on the small square where the town market once took place and on the beautiful houses that overlook it.

The 19th century gazebo is located in the heart of the historic center, in Piazza Venezia, home to the daily fruit and vegetable market. Used in the past as a place of purchase for the fish market, after a radical restoration, in particular of the roof and the iron parts, it is now chosen as a venue for cultural events, exhibitions or other.

From the last time I was in the beautiful village of Varese Ligure I still have a splendid image of the houses and porticos that overlook the central square (Piazza Fieschi) from which the town takes its name of Borgo Rotondo.

Commissioned by the Fieschi family for the control and defence of the Varese area, it is made up of identical stone houses arranged along the perimeter which, with an elliptical shape, enclose the two main squares (Piazza Fieschi and Piazza Castello), where the commercial activities, warehouses and laboratories were located in the porticoes below.
