The ridge of Mount Zatta on the Alta Via in Liguria

Il crinale del Monte Zatta ed il bellissimo sentiero che lo attraversa

The crest of Monte Zatta and the beautiful path that crosses it.
Travelling along the Alta Via dei monti liguri you also pass by Monte Zatta and its crests.
One of the most beautiful paths I have ever walked (a couple of years ago now).

The summit of the Zatta mountain massif consists of a long wavy ridge, crossed by an easy ridge path. On the outer edges of this ridge are the Zatta di Ponente mountain (1355 m) and the Prato Pinello mountain (1390 m). Between the two ends rises the main peak, the Zatta di Levante mountain (1404 m). The southern slope is steep and stony, while the northern slope, towards the Bocco pass, has a gentler slope and is covered by a large beech forest.

Passo della Cappelletta verso Centocroci

Passo della Cappelletta verso Centocroci.
Lungo la strada che dalla Liguria porta all’Emilia Romagna e che passa da Varese Ligure ci sono due possibilità per svalicare (magari anche di più): o si attraversa il Passo di Centocroci oppure si devia verso Albareto e si va al Passo della Cappelletta.
Le pale eoliche rendono moderno il paesaggio che in estate è soleggiato e fresco mentre d’inverno è spesso innevato.
Ovviamente, come da nome e foto, c’è una piccola cappella (al cui interno c’è una targa dedicata agli Alpini e ai morti di tutte le guerre).
Si parcheggia la macchina se non siete così sportivi da arrivare a piedi oppure in bicicletta e si sale sul crinale.
Uno spettacolo.

Crinale a Levante da Punta Baffe

The ridge to the east from Punta Baffe.
Several months ago I took this beautiful walk along the path that goes from Riva Trigoso to Punta Baffe. Once I reached the tower I decided to return by climbing a little more and then passing by Villa Manierta.
When I reached the highest point of my route I took this beautiful photo of the first ridge and all those that stand out to the east.
The last one could be that of Punta Mesco.

The Rock called Ferale and the White Cross

Lo Scoglio Ferale e la croce bianca

The Scoglio Ferale and the white cross.
Along the path that goes from Riomaggiore to Portovenere, more or less below the town of Campiglia, there is this large rock with a cross dedicated to the people who go to sea.
One of the many ridges with a few scattered houses that abound in this part of Liguria between the Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets.

Finisco questa breve terzina di post con questa foto che a me, devo dire, piace moltissimo.
Non a caso è sul mio desktop in questo momento.
Il crinale di una delle colline che sovrastano Sant’Anna vista dalla Selva.
