The kaleidoscope of colors fascinates me greatly.
At that moment there was also a beautiful bee that was stealing the nectar.

The name of the genus, adopted by Linnaeus in 1753 and meaning “passion flower” (from the Latin passio = passion and flos = flower), was attributed to it by the Jesuit missionaries in 1610, due to the similarity of some parts of the plant to the religious symbols of the passion of Jesus: the tendrils to the whip with which he was flagellated, the three styles to the nails, the stamens to the hammer, the corolla rays to the crown of thorns.

Una bella farfalla con la Baia del Silenzio sullo sfondo.
Questa mattina, oggi è il 26 maggio 2018, come al solito ho fatto un salto in Baia del Silenzio (Portobello) per godermi qualche minuto di sole.
Mentre ero sulla salita dei Cappuccini, cercando il punto migliore per immortalare la spiaggia, oggi veramente piena di bagnanti (sembra finalmente arrivato il caldo estivo), mi capita che in questi fiori si posi una bella farfalla.
Ed è anche stata ferma diversi secondi!

Mi piace sempre fotografare gli insetti. E non una cosa molto semplice sia per le dimensioni sia per il fatto che sono sempre in movimento.
Questa formica per esempio stava trasportando qualcosa, mi pare un altro insetto, lungo la recinzione del mio giardino:

Formicidae Latreille, 1809 è una vasta famiglia di insetti imenotteri, comunemente conosciuti con il nome generico di formiche. Le formiche mostrano la massima diversità nelle zone a clima tropicale, come l’America del Sud, l’Africa e l’Australia orientale ma hanno molte specie anche nelle regioni temperate del pianeta.
Le formiche, come molti altri imenotteri, sono insetti eusociali. Nelle loro società, che variano in dimensioni e in organizzazione a seconda delle specie, vi è una classe riproduttiva – costituita dalle regine (femmine fertili) e dai maschi – e una lavorativa, costituita da femmine attere e sterili, dette operaie.

La cimice verde europea (Palomena prasina Linnaeus, 1761) è un insetto eterottero della famiglia Pentatomidae. È una specie comune in gran parte dell’Europa, dalle isole mediterranee fino al sud della Penisola scandinava. In Italia è presente in tutta la penisola e nelle isole maggiori. Si rinviene su diversi tipi di piante erbacee, arbusti ed alberi, con una spiccata predilezione per Corylus spp. e Quercus spp.
