Sestri Levante il 21 agosto 2014.
Dal momento che in questi giorni ho messo un sacco di foto della nostra Riviera ma quasi nessuna di Sestri Levante ho deciso di recuperare. Questa è la baia del Silenzio (Portobello) questa mattina.
Lavagna e Chiavari viste da Santa Giulia in un pomeriggio nuvoloso.
Una foto molto particolare scattata ieri pomeriggio da Santa Giulia sulle alture di Lavagna. L’effetto particolare è dato dai raggi di sole che filtravano dalle nuvole. Peccato per la poca nitidezza delle città. Ovviamente un po’ di hdr ha aiutato.
Torta di riso.
Uno dei piatti tipici della Liguria è senza alcun dubbio la torta di riso (anche resa famosa dai comici di Zelig: “La torta di riso è finita!”). Qui ne potete ammirare una fetta in tutta la sua bontà!
Vernazza on August 14, 2014.
A summer walk in the Cinque Terre is always a nice way to experience our Liguria and even better our Riviera di Levante. Obviously Vernazza, I hope no one will be offended, is the pearl of the five. The classic view from the path that goes to Corniglia is unmatched.

Coming from the west, Vernazza is the second of the villages that make up the Cinque Terre, in a bay between the municipalities of Monterosso al Mare and Riomaggiore. It also includes the next village of Corniglia, a hamlet of it. Its territory is also characterized by the typical terraces for growing vines, a morphological style that, according to an estimate, is developed for over 7,000 km of dry stone walls.

I took several. This one is modified in Hdr but I'm not really convinced so, further down, I also insert it in the original only a little artificially colored.

Gita fuoriporta in quel delle Cinque Terre ed eccovi una bella foto estiva (anche se i nuvoloni davano un po’ fastidio) nello splendido porticciolo di Riomaggiore in hdr.

Riomaggiore, così come le altre Cinque Terre, è stretta tra il mar Ligure e la ripida catena montuosa che si distacca dall’Appennino presso il monte Zatta e scende in direzione sud-est facendo da spartiacque tra la val di Vara e la zona costiera. Il centro storico, il cui nucleo originario risale al XIII secolo, è situato nella valle del torrente Rio Maggiore, l’antico Rivus Major dal quale il borgo prende il nome.

Matteotti square in Sestri Levante.
Piazza Matteotti is one of the most beautiful places in the historic center of Sestri Levante; overlooking the Baia delle Favole on one side, and the Comune on the other, it also offers interesting views on the two smaller sides, like the one in the photograph.
