When the sea is rough while sailing. Those who decide to take a cruise must always take into account that the ship is on the sea and the weather is always unpredictable. It doesn't matter if you are in the immense Ocean or in the more reassuring Adriatic Sea: when nature decides to raise the wind and the waves start to increase, the ship begins to rock. No problem though: modern ships are so large (and have stabilization systems) that the wave motion makes them move very little compared to the past! but they do move a little! What to do? Don't think about it too much and let yourself be lulled by the movement!

The coast of Pieve Ligure between the Demola and Chiappa docks. Pieve Ligure, located on the beautiful Ligurian Riviera, is a little gem that offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Spiagge da sogno: Dickenson’s Bay ad Antigua. Una delle spiagge più belle dell’isola di Antigua e probabilmente una delle mie preferite ai Caraibi. La Baia del Silenzio di Sestri Levante vista dal drone a gennaio 2024. Dopo molti mesi ho deciso di ricominciare ad usare il mio piccolo drone che da troppo non prendeva il volo. E come sempre il mio soggetto preferito per ricominciare è la Baia del Silenzio, anzi, il sottile istmo che separa la Baia del Silenzio dalla Baia delle Favole. Come i più esperti avranno già capito, la foto è aggiustata nei colori ma vi assicuro che anche se accentuati erano comunque spettacolari in quella mattinata.

Lo scoglio chiamato Punta Chiappa in Liguria. Qualche tempo fa, percorrendo l’Aurelia in motorino, mi sono fermato a San Rocco di Camogli e, percorrendo brevemente il sentiero che arriva fino a San Fruttuoso, ho scattato questo paio di foto al famoso scoglio che delimita a Levante il Golfo Paradiso.

Punta Chiappa è una propaggine di roccia, formazione di puddinga protesa verso il mare aperto per una cinquantina di metri, delimitando dal lato di ponente la riserva marina di Portofino e chiudendo ad est il Golfo Paradiso. Il simbolo della mia cittadina, una delle baie più famose della mia regione, dove le case dei pescatori (una volta) si costruirono a pochi passi dal mare. I colori pastello, le acque trasparenti ed una calma (non in estate) che hanno dato il nome a questa insenatura: la Baia del Silenzio appunto! La foto è stata scattata a fine maggio 2023.

Dream sea: the transparent waters of Framura One of the places in my area (Eastern Liguria) that I like to go to in the summer to have a nice swim is Framura. The tiny village near the Cinque Terre has a splendid promenade, overlooking the sea, along which you can reach a couple of truly enchanting beaches. And if you are an adventure lover, here and there along the promenade, there are points where you can go down to the sea and dive into this truly crystalline water!
