Pesco bonsai in marmo in Vietnam.
Dal mio viaggio in Vietnam, effettuato ormai oltre un anno fa, continuo ancora a tirare fuori foto che non ero riuscito a pubblicare per tempo.
Questo era uno splendido bonsai di una pianta di pesco, realizzato in marmo, che faceva bella mostra di sé in uno dei tantissimi negozi di souvenir delle Marble Mountain sulla strada tra Da Nang e Hoi An.

The church of San Giovanni Battista in Chiavari.
The religious building in the centre of Chiavari built at the end of 1100 and which houses the crucifix of the Black Christ, very famous in the city.
The simple façade in an equally simple churchyard surrounded by the splendid little streets with the typical porticoes of Chiavari.

The Black Christ is a wooden crucifix kept in the parish church of San Giovanni Battista. It is considered miraculous.
It comes from the church of the Disciplinanti, destroyed by fire in 1600. Only the crucifix was saved from the fire, which, according to pious tradition, remained black since it was impossible to clean it.

Considered one of the main Marian sanctuaries in the metropolitan area of Genoa and Liguria, it was built by the people of Rapallo between 1557 and 1558, together with the adjoining shelter for pilgrims, after the apparition of the Virgin Mary on 2 July 1557 to the farmer Giovanni Chichizola. The current marble façade dates back to the renovation carried out by the Milanese architect Luigi Rovelli in 1896, and inaugurated with a solemn ceremony on 21 June of that year.

Piccola pagoda alle Marble Mountain.
In questa splendida località turistica, che si trova lungo la strada che da Da Nang va a Hoi An, ci sono splendidi templi e pagode.
Ve ne ho già parlato precedenza e vi ho già postato diverse immagini. Questa è di una piccola pagoda che si trova appena dopo l’entrata al parco visitabile solo a piedi, dal momento che sono una serie di ripidi sali e scendi sulla piccola montagna.
Un luogo meraviglioso che vi consiglio di visitare.
Essendo poi il marmo particolarmente sfruttato potrete anche trovare decine (e forse centinaia) di negozi che fanno a gara a vendervi oggetti realizzati con questa pietra (anche se quelli scolpiti a mano forse non si trovano più qui).

Ho trovato veramente pochissimo, in italiano, su questa attrazione. Ma anche in inglese, a parte Wikipedia, non si trova ancora molto.

Via Venti Settembre a Genova e’ la via piu’ elegante e famosa del capoluogo ligure.
Oltre ai palazzi nobiliari gli splendidi porticati dallo stile tipico ligure bianco e nero in pietra e marmo.

Cos’è il 20 settembre, la data delle vie XX settembre? In quel giorno, nel 1870, l’esercito italiano prese Roma dopo la breccia di Porta Pia: fu la fine dello Stato Pontificio.

I portici di via XX.
Genova, oltre ai famosi vicoli, ha una delle vie piu’ belle per fare una passeggiata. Si trova proprio in centro e si chiama via Venti Settembre.
I portici sono, in alcuni punti, veramente suggestivi. In questo punto, ad esempio, da un lato c’e’ il contrasto tra i marmi bianchi e verdi (tipici della Liguria) e dall’altro uno splendido palazzo “nobiliare”.
Tutto proprio in centro, a pochi metri da piazza De Ferrari.

Il ponte Monumentale di Genova.
Passando nella strada principale del centro di Genova, via Venti Settembre, non si puo’ non vedere il Grande ponte, detto appunto Monumentale, che piu’ o meno a meta’ incrocia la via.
Questa foto l’ho scattata un paio di settimane fa passeggiando per il centro e mi sembra un bello scatto.

Il Ponte detto Monumentale si impone sullo stesso luogo dove era la Porta dell’Arco, delle mura del XVI secolo, le cosiddette “Mura Nuove”. Il suo ruolo è, come lo era stato quello della porta dell’Arco, di collegare due sistemi di viabilità, uno inferiore (via XX Settembre), ed uno superiore (corso Podestà).

La chiesa di Santa Maria Foris Portam a Lucca.
Una delle tante bellissime chiese della città toscana. Tra vie e palazzi storici ci sono anche molte chiese bellissime e ricche di opere d’arte storiche.

Il nome di Chiesa di Santa Maria Forisportam è legato al fatto che rispetto alla cerchia muraria più antica, ovvero quella di epoca romana, questa chiesa risiedeva all’esterno della città, da cui foris portam (fuori porta).

Marmorkirken, la chiesa di marmo di Copenhagen.
La chiesa Evangelica Luterana di Copenhagen il cui nome è letteralmente la chiesa di marmo. Dedicata ai trecento anni della incoronazione del primo membro della dinastia degli Oldenburg. E’ l’edificio con la cupola più grande della Scandinavia.
Sul tetto della facciata due belle statue che vi ho fotografato in hdr.
Fu costruita assieme al complesso Frederiksstaden il più importante complesso rococo d’europa.

Church of San Michele in Foro in Lucca.
The splendid Pisan Romanesque style church located where the Roman forum once stood, whose façade is dominated by the statue of the winged Saint Michael.

A legend from Lucca tells that in particular light conditions it is possible to see a green sparkle coming from the statue; it would be, according to the legend, an emerald, set in ancient times and never found. Some sources, mostly from elderly inhabitants of the city, confirm having seen the phantom sparkle, but it has never been proven that an emerald is set in the work, which is also highly unlikely.
