Corso Garibaldi in centro a Chiavari.

Giuseppe Garibaldi square in Finalborgo. The largest and most central square in the most beautiful village of Finale welcomes you with its beauty. The houses, all very well kept, make you understand how the square was between the 1100s and the 1200s: all frescoed and colorful. Truly a spectacular place in my Liguria.

I took dozens of photos in the beautiful western town, click here to see them all:
The town was developed in the Finalese hinterland, not directly on the sea to be more protected against possible Saracen landings on the coast, in an easily defensible place: the confluence of the Aquila torrent with the Pora torrent, whose riverbeds form a single natural moat, later reinforced by the city walls, which defended the town on the east-south-west sides, while the northern side of the town was naturally protected by the spur of the Becchignolo hill. Palazzi in piazza Mazzini a Chiavari.

The architectural layout remained unchanged until the late sixteenth century; from that time onwards new noble palaces were built within the walls in the contemporary Renaissance style. The choice of the new architectural style was especially evident in the main streets Ravaschieri and Stefano Rivarola where palaces very similar to other buildings in Genoa were erected or revised. From 1648, or perhaps from 1646, it received the title of City from the Republic of Genoa. Continue and learn more on Wikipedia

Piazza Cristoforo Colombo a Camogli.
Palaces in Piazza Mazzini in Chiavari. The most lived-in square in Chiavari, the one with the cabbage market, is perhaps also the most beautiful. If with the stalls of the fruit and vegetable market it is full of life, when the stalls are not there, you realize the architectural beauty and elegance that this splendid town offers. Right in front of the Palace of Justice (Ex adesso) you can find these beautiful buildings with the classic Ligurian porticos!

The former Coop houses (in the sense that the Coop used to be on the ground floor, not that they were built by the Coop) in Sestri Levante. I still remember when these futuristic houses with the oblique mirrored facade were built. The cooperative no longer exists, but there is still a large warehouse.

Old and modern in Ho Chi Minh. In the center of the largest city in Vietnam you can see opposites: a skyscraper and an old building. To tell the truth, the old building now looks like the shelf of a pet shop with all the cages one on top of the other. By the way, they are all bars or small restaurants.

Hồ Chí Minh began as a small fishing village, originally known as Prey Nokor and located in a marshy area inhabited by the Khmer people. With the settlement of the Vietnamese in the 17th century it became known as Sài Gòn, and many still call it by this name. Continua e approfondisci con Wikipedia
