To walk the paths around my Sestri you always have to go up a little hill. As in this shot taken in the hamlet of San Bernardo from which you can enjoy a splendid view of my town.

The second skyscraper in Lavagna.
This in the photo is the second skyscraper in the city of Lavagna (I photographed the first one here).
This one is not in the center and is a little more bare aesthetically; still very tall though.
In the photo you can also notice the monumental cemetery of Lavagna and, in the distance, the grandstand of the Entella stadium in Chiavari.

The view of all of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo.
There is no better place to see (and photograph) the splendid city of Florence than Piazzale Michelangelo.
From here you can see almost everything: the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore, Palazzo Vecchio, the Basilica of Santa Croce di Firenze and Ponte Vecchio.

Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence is the most famous observation point of the city panorama, reproduced in countless postcards and an obligatory destination for tourists visiting the city.
It was built in 1869 based on a design by the architect Giuseppe Poggi on a hill just south of the historic center, to complete the redevelopment work on the left bank of the Arno.

La vista che si gode dal Bocco di Bargone.
Percorrendo l’anello di Bargone, il sentiero che dal borgo passa dal Monte Treggin e poi dal piccolo passo chiamato Bocco di Bargone, si gode di una splendida vista su Sestri e Riva.

The view of Genoa going up to the Albaro district.
Going up via Francesco Pozzo towards Albaro, a splendid view of the centre of Genoa opens up.
And then think of the view that the owner of the beautiful tower of the building in the foreground must enjoy!

La vista di Genova da Castello d’Albertis.
Sulle alture di Genova, e per alture non intendo le piccole montagne alle spalle della città ma i quartieri appena dietro al centro che sono già in alto, ci sono moltissimi punti panoramici da cui fotografare la città.
In questa foto, scattata dal castello d’Albertis, si vede il Porto Antico ed i Magazzini del Cotone.

The D’Albertis Castle is a historic residence in Genoa, home to the Museum of World Cultures and the Museum of Peoples’ Music. Built in 1886 on an ancient bastion of the 14th-century Walls by sea captain Enrico Alberto D’Albertis, the castle is today one of the most appreciated house-museums in the Ligurian capital.

The view of the Petronio valley from Monte Groppi.
A few months ago I took a splendid path that from the road to the Bracco Pass goes to Monte Nicolao and then, if you want, also climbs up to the top of Monte Groppi which is located on the border between the municipality of Castiglione Chiavarese (GE) and the municipality of Carro (SP).
From there you can enjoy an exceptional view thanks to the 869 meters of the peak!

The view from the path to Punta Manara.
Following the path that from Riva Trigoso reaches Sestri Levante passing by Punta Manara, when you are about to start descending to Sestri you find yourself with this splendid view of the Peninsula (Island) and the Gulf of Tigullio.

The view from the top of Monte Treggin.
From its height of eight hundred meters, Monte Treggin offers a spectacular view of Casarza Ligure and Sestri Levante.
This is the view from the highest point. Too bad it wasn't a very clear day and the sky was very black.

San Fruttuoso di Camogli seen from very high up.
Some time ago I had the opportunity to walk the path that goes from Santa Margherita Ligure to Monte di Portofino, passes through San Fruttuoso and then ends in Portofino.
A decidedly long and challenging path but which offers truly incredible views of the coast.
Like these shots that highlight the Andrea Doria Tower that emerges from among the olive trees.

Where is San Fruttuoso located:
The tower, named after Andrea Doria by his heirs, Giovanni, Andrea and Pagano, was erected in August 1562 along the road that connects the abbey to the fishing village on a steep staircase. It was built in compliance with the patronage clause granted by Pope Julius III to Andrea Doria in 1551 to defend the village and its providential water source, used by the monks, from possible incursions by Barbary pirates.
