Sestri Levante seen from the Rocche di Sant’Anna. Among the most beautiful panoramic points to photograph my town there is certainly the path that leads to the Rocche di Sant’Anna passing through the Fico valley. From here in fact the view of the Baia delle Favole is truly splendid, especially when we are approaching sunset time.

La vista panoramica sulla città di Genova. Una delle classiche viste di Genova da uno dei moltissimi punti panoramici che sono ale spalle della città. Peccato solamente che l’orario della foto (per la luce) e la poca nitidezza dell’aria non ha reso molto chiara la foto.

La vista di Lavagna e Chiavari dall’alto. Tutte le volte che faccio il sentiero che va a Santa Giulia fotografo sempre le due cittadine divise dal fiume Entella. Da qui si vedono tutti i palazzi delle due cittadine. Peccato solamente che fono ad ora non sono mai riuscito a trovare una giornata limpida per scattare e le foto non sono mai molto nitide.

La vista del Tigullio da Cima Stronzi. Un paio di settimane fa ho percorso il bel sentiero che dalla strada del Bracco sale al Monte San Nicolao (e all’antico Ospedale) e, percorrendo il sentiero soprannominato dei briganti, arriva fino a cima Strozzi. Dalla cima si ha una vista splendida di tutto il Tigullio e della valle del Petronio. Proseguendo il sentiero sono stato in una cima vicina (monte Groppi) che è anche un filo più alto e la cui vista è ancora più bella.

Sestri Levante ed il Golfo del Tigullio. Un classico delle foto paesaggistiche della zona in cui abito è scattare dalla cima della salita del sentiero che va sulla Mandrella. Lungo la strada infatti ci sono un paio di punti, molto classici, da dove si vede bene la penisola sestrese, l’istmo che la congiunge alla terraferma e che crea le due baie: la Baia del Silenzio e la Baia delle Favole.

The view of Riva Trigoso from Montepagano. It has not been long since I discovered this beautiful path that climbs behind Riva Trigoso. The hill and its park is called Montepagano and you climb from behind the cemetery of San Bartolomeo and descend to the height of the waterfall of the Torrente Petronio. At the top of the path a belvedere that opens onto the town of Riva Trigoso.

La vista scendendo da San Bernardo. Nelle molte alture (anche se non molto elevate) che coronano la mia cittadina, Sestri Levante, si trovano moltissimi punti in cui si riescono a scattare delle bellissime foto. Ogni tanto il sole e la foschia le rende meno o più belle. Questa foto, se ricordo bene, l’avevo scattata lo scorso marzo!
The skyscraper of Lavagna. Going down the path that from Sestri Levante reaches Santa Giulia and then descends towards Lavagna, there are several very panoramic points from which you can see the two towns (Lavagna and Chiavari) divided by the Entella. In this one, in particular, you can see the large skyscraper that rises in the (modern) center of Lavagna, in Piazza Cordeviola.

The dome of the Basilica of San Siro in Genoa. Genoa is truly a splendid city to photograph both by walking in the center and strolling along the many streets of the hilly neighborhoods. In this shot, taken from one of the many viewpoints of Corso Firenze, you can see (in addition to the roofs of the many houses in the historic center) the dome of one of the oldest churches in Genoa: San Siro.

The Basilica of San Siro, one of the oldest churches in Genoa, Liguria, is a Catholic place of worship located in the street of the same name, in the Maddalena district. Built according to tradition in the 4th century, it was initially dedicated to the Twelve Apostles; the holy bishop Siro was buried there and it became the first cathedral of Genoa. Florence, the symbolic city of the Renaissance. A beautiful trip to the capital of Tuscany which for us Ligurians is only a couple of hours away by car. This photo in particular was taken from the most famous panoramic point: Piazzale Michelangelo, the terrace overlooking the town.
All the photos you will find will be in order: Church of San Salvatore in Ognissanti, Piazza Santa Trinità and Basilica of Santa Trinità, Palazzo Strozzi, Ponte Vecchio and the Vasari Corridor, Piazza della Signoria with the Loggia dei Lanzi and Palazzo Vecchio, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistery of San Giovanni, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella and finally the view from Piazzale Michelangelo.
