A walk among the colored houses of Burano.
A few months ago I finally went to visit the islands of the Venetian lagoon and I must say that, even though I had already seen the colored houses of Burano in photos and videos, the reality even exceeds expectations!

Burano is a town of 2,270 inhabitants that stands on four islands in the northern Venetian lagoon. It is part of the municipality of Venice and in particular of the municipality of Venice-Murano-Burano. It is connected by a bridge to the island of Mazzorbo, which has become a sort of appendix. The town is known for its typical brightly colored houses and for the centuries-old artisan needlework of Burano lace.

Le celebri case colorate dell’isola di Burano vicino a Venezia.
Ho visto molte foto delle case colorate ma finalmente sono riuscito a vederle, e fotografarle, con i miei occhi (e le mie lenti!).
E devo dire la verità che passeggiare per i canali dell’isola è veramente una esperienza indimenticabile e, forse, impareggiabile.

Dove si trova Tellaro:

Tellaro is the easternmost hamlet of the municipality of Lerici, in the province of La Spezia. It has been reviewed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The town is a small seaside village, perched on a cliff overlooking the Gulf of La Spezia. A destination for many Italian and foreign artists, Mario Soldati found a home here during the long years of his old age.

I colori pastello delle case liguri trovano un esempio splendido sul fronte mare della passeggiata di Ponente di Riva Trigoso, la splendida frazione marinara di Sestri Levante.
Come già molte volte vi ho già testimoniato qui sul blog la bellezza dei borghi liguri è clamorosa!

Il centro del Borgorotondo di Varese Ligure

Il centro del Borgorotondo di Varese Ligure.
Dall’ultima volta che sono stato nel bel borgo di varese Ligure avanzo ancora una splendida immagine delle case e dei portici che si affacciano sulla piazzetta centrale (piazza Fieschi) da cui la cittadina prende il nome di borgo Rotondo.

Commissioned by the Fieschi family for the control and defence of the Varese area, it is made up of identical stone houses arranged along the perimeter which, with an elliptical shape, enclose the two main squares (Piazza Fieschi and Piazza Castello), where the commercial activities, warehouses and laboratories were located in the porticoes below.

La piazzetta più famosa di Varese Ligure

The most famous square in Varese Ligure.
Last summer I took several photos in the most famous square in Borgorotondo, Varese Ligure, called Piazza Fieschi.
It looks like a painting with the pastel colors of the houses and the circular shape of their arrangement.
This photo is very similar, but I assure you it is not the same, of my post from September 12th (here).

This is a video walking in Piazza Fieschi the famous circular square of the village:
