Una pianta nata sopra gli scogli. Un paio di giorni fa ero in Baia del Silenzio a Sestri Levante in cerca di ispirazione per qualche scatto. Mi sono sporto dal piccolo belvedere che sta sopra al Citto bar e ho notato queste piante che crescono sul muretto di mattoni che sta sopra a quegli scogli. Mi è uscito uso scatto che mi piace molto. Ho usato anche il filtro miniatura della mia macchina fotografica per farlo un po’ più artistico.

Azalea and rhododendron are plants belonging to the genus Rhododendron (L. 1753) of the Ericaceae family, native to Eurasia and America. The name derives from the Greek words ῥόδον (rhodon, rose) and δένδρον (dendron, tree). This genus includes over 500 species, infinite hybrids and varieties, of shrubby plants, ranging from 40 to 90 cm, with open, large, rough, oval or lanceolate crowns, glossy dark green on the upper side, lighter or rusty on the lower side, with a glabrous and revolute margin, simple or double flowers, with showy colours, bell-shaped, with sometimes wavy lobes, gathered in large bunches, at the ends of the branches. Il frutto del cappero: in pochi lo sanno ma è questo. In pochi sanno che il vero frutto del cappero è questo e non il bocciolo che normalmente si mangia per dare gusto ad un piatto. Scopro solo ora che il vero nome di questo frutto è cucuncio. Il cappero infatti è solo il bocciolo del fiore. Se lo si lascia sbocciare, una volta impollinato, si forma il frutto che somiglia ad un piccolo cetriolo.

Il fiore rosso dell’amarillo. Ho già diverse immagini del fiore dell’amarillo. Questa è stata scattata qualche giorno fa mentre la pianta produceva questi bellissimi fiori rossi.
