Often, when I have to go to the Porto Antico area of Genoa for some errand, I take a stroll along Via di Sottoripa, that portico a thousand years old that passes under that strip of houses on the seafront of Genoa. Once an area that was not very frequented (and honestly I don't know what it's like at night) now it's a happy place to wander around ethnic take-aways, a couple of fry shops and a few small restaurants serving Genoese cuisine for tourists.

The arcades of Piazza Martiri della Libertà in Santa Margherita Ligure. The beautiful village of Santa (as it is normally called) has, like all Ligurian villages, several areas with arcades. Like in this part of the town, famous for being a meeting place for young people (and not only) on Riviera evenings. There are in fact several small restaurants and a couple of bars where you can enjoy the evening in company.
