Rivarola street in the historic center of Chiavari. If it is not the most beautiful street in Chiavari it is probably the second. Certainly less busy (with people) and easier to photograph. Porticoes on both sides of the street, or rather of the alley, and arches galore. It seems like a beautiful photo like many I have taken in Chiavari.

The alley of via Bighetti in the historic center of Chiavari. The street parallel to the straight alley of Chiavari also has some very beautiful porticos and perhaps even older and more particular. They are lower in height and darker but at the same time have a more lived-in appearance.

An arch in Rivarola street in the centre of Chiavari. Strolling in Chiavari among the alleys and porticos of the historic centre. This is just one of the many in via Rivarola, the alley parallel to the main one in the town.

The famous portico of Borgio Verezzi. One of the most famous points of the splendid village of Borgio Verezzi, in the Savona area, is this beautiful stone portico that overlooks the entire western Liguria. At the moment I took the photo, the sun was shining directly against me, so I was unable to take any photos and show you the splendid panorama that can be enjoyed from there, with the sea as the protagonist.

The municipal territory is made up of the two hamlets of Borgio (municipal seat) and Verezzi and the Verezzi nuclei of Crosa, Piazza, Poggio and Roccaro for a territorial surface of 2.73 km². It borders to the north with the municipalities of Tovo San Giacomo and Finale Ligure, to the south with the Ligurian Sea, to the west with Pietra Ligure, to the east with Finale Ligure. A glimpse of Verezzi, the famous Ligurian village. After a long time that I had promised myself to visit some town of Western Liguria, some time ago I finally managed to organize a Sunday. In addition to Finale Ligure, with friends, we went to see the small village of Verezzi (which together with Borgio create the famous town); its narrow streets, closed between the stone houses and the sea a short distance away. Now I understand why many consider it one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

The wonderful arcades of Via XX in Genoa. I believe that this stretch of the arcades of Via Venti, the main street in the centre of the Ligurian capital, is the most beautiful.

The porticos of Santa Margherita Ligure. The porticos are one of the most recurring architectural aspects in my Liguria. Probably the most spectacular are in Chiavari but in any case in all the towns you can find glimpses with beautiful porticos. Like these that are in Santa Margherita Ligure that divide the outdoor areas from the kitchens of the restaurants.

Red portico of the Imperial City. One of the most photographed features of the city of Huè are definitely these red-colored wooden porticos. These corridors are incredibly beautiful to walk through and, of course, to photograph. The wood, the red color, the height of the ceiling... everything here makes you understand that you are in the home of an emperor!
