This morning the bay was truly spectacular.
March and April are probably the best months to take a quiet walk, even on Sundays, in this heavenly place!

The beautiful Baia del Silenzio in Sestri Levante.
These two photos, taken at two different times of the year (April and July), are two iconic views of one of the most beautiful bays in Italy: the Baia del Silenzio.
I live in this town and I am always fascinated by it and, as you can see, I will have hundreds of posts and photos with this subject!

The Bay of Silence at the end of May 2023.
Last year I was at home in one of the best times to enjoy the Bay of Silence: the end of May and the beginning of June.
The weather is already warm but there is not yet that summer crowd that fills the beach (or at least during the week there is not).
The best time as I said.

The Bay of Silence in Sestri Levante in winter.
My town is very spoiled in summer but in winter, for its true lovers, it is even more beautiful.
It is almost always deserted and the colors are always spectacular, both in sunny and bad weather.

The Bay of Silence on February 29, 2024.
Last winter I was at home and I took the opportunity to, as they say, put hay in the barn for the months when I will be on the ship.
This was the bay of Portobello, known by all as the Bay of Silence, the renowned beach of my Sestri Levante.

The Bay of Silence in Sestri Levante on February 19, 2024.
Probably in winter, if you are lucky enough to be in this place on a nice day, there is no more beautiful place to take a short walk accompanied only by the relaxing sound of the waves that gently caress the beach of the Bay of Silence.

The symbol of Sestri Levante: the Bay of Silence.
The symbol of my town, one of the most famous bays in my region, where the fishermen's houses (once) were built a few steps from the sea.
The pastel colors, the transparent waters and a calm (not in summer) that gave the name to this inlet: the Bay of Silence!

Exactly one year ago I was at home and enjoying my Sestri Levante in the summer.
In the morning, during the week, the Bay of Silence is still accessible to locals… but on the weekend it becomes truly unlivable!

Uno dei simboli di Sestri Levante.
Ogni tanto qualche visitatore commenta chiedendomi perchè metto così tante foto della Baia del Silenzio e che ci sono anche altre cose a Sestri.
Sono d’accordo ma non mi stancherò mai di fotografare (e condividere) la bellezza delle case che si affacciano sulla piccola baia. In special modo in inverno (la foto è di febbraio 2024)!
