Roma vista dalla cima della cupola di San Pietro è qualcosa di veramente incredibile ed ovviamene ne ho approfittato per scattare molte foto. Questa, come potrete ben capire, è Piazza San Pietro vista dal cupolone.

La celeberrima piazza, notevole esempio di architettura ed urbanistica barocca, è dedicata all’omonimo santo ed è quotidiano punto d’incontro per migliaia di fedeli cattolici provenienti da tutto il mondo.
Lo spazio della piazza è formato da due parti: la prima a forma di trapezio rovescio il cui lato maggiore corrisponde alla facciata con specifiche motivazioni prospettiche (annullare la grande distanza tra la piazza e la basilica) e la seconda, più grande, di forma ovale con l’obelisco Egiziano al centro.

Roma non ha certo bisogno della mia descrizione tantomeno il Colosseo ne ha… Lasciatemi solo dire che la sera, con una luna quasi piena, fare una passeggiata tra i fori imperiali è sicuramente una delle esperienze che ti ricorderai per sempre!

The Trevi Fountain is the largest and most famous fountain in Rome. Built on the facade of Palazzo Poli by Nicola Salvi, the competition announced by Pope Clement XII in 1731 was initially won by the French sculptor Lambert-Sigisbert Adam but the assignment was subsequently passed to Salvi.
