The ruins of a portal along the Gromolo stream. For all those who are used to walking or running along the Gromolo stream this ruin will be familiar. Every time I pass by, to tell the truth I pass by once a year, it intrigues me and I would like to know more. I zoomed in on the marble tondo with a Saint that still stands above the beam.

The colonnade for Villa Arpe for Santa Vittoria. I have always been fascinated by this little path that leads from the road along the Gromolo stream to those little houses that I believe are called Villa Arpe. I wonder how beautiful it was 50 years ago, everything well kept. In the second photo you can see the houses better and what seems to be a small chapel or perhaps a burial building of some local family.

Sausage and chips at the festival. At festivals you can't go wrong: sausage and chips are always there. They called this salami but it's always the same thing. The festival was last weekend in Santa Vittoria di Libiola where, it must be said, the main dish is the testaieu with pesto (which unfortunately I didn't photograph).

The abandoned factory in the hamlet of Ponterotto in Sestri. A few hundred meters upstream from Santa Vittoria di Libiola there is this small group of houses, on the other side of Gromolo. The access road to these houses is a stone and brick bridge. I tried to figure out the name of the place, if it has one, and I think it is called Ponterotto.

A little further on there is one of the monuments to the golden age of the Gromolo valley, when the extraction of minerals, mainly copper, had led Libiola (this is the name of the hamlet where we find ourselves) to extract and transform minerals.
Now abandoned, along the road, there is also the abandoned factory symbol of that period:
I remember some news some time ago about the idea of doing something with this unsafe building but now I can find no trace of it.
